Rain and storms for the last three days and the weekend coming out of the Gulf, Hurricane weather will be coming soon to the Gulf as the humid climate hot climate will warm up the Gulf and bring more Hurricanes toward the Gulf waters. Hope none come this way like Rita are any bad one anywhere. |

Good day everyone, well we are still watching and waiting, we will know by tomorrow if we will have to pack up and leave, have packed the most important papers and a few pictures and personal things few clothes and going now to gas up, still dont' know where it might hit if it hits more on the texas line away from New Orleans we will sure have to leave, but no matter what all the Gulf coast line will be affected by this Hurricane, and it is a bad one if it comes inland as a they just said it might even come in as a 5, bad bad, please keep the coast in your prayers. stay safe. |

Well I don't know where Peg has gone but I KNOW we're about to get "Iked" here. In the last 24 hours is drawn a dead eye bead on Houston. Galveston's 15' Seawall is alrady being topped by the surge and its still over 12 hours away! I'm far enough inland to have been ordered to shelter in place which when faced with the prospect of 75+ mph winds is still and unnerving prospect. We took care of all errands last night and are making what preperations we can, removing light objects outside, taping windows drawing water etc. We figure for SURE to lose power and with that our water supply for some period of time at a minimum. First Rita now 3 years later Ike, this is enough to make me rethink trading snow for hurricanes and move back north! |

I hope you're both able to weather this without damage, Peg and Blarney. I'll be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers. If you have access to the internet, let us know how things are going. Thinking of you. Cascade |
