Another example of Microsoft trying to fix something that s not broke by jambing an unwanted service (Live) down our throats again! It failed with the O.E/Hotmail attempt because of vocal opposition threatening to go elsewhere which will impact the holy and all important to Microsoft bottom line. I suspect with enough out cry this too shall fail

Ive no idea whats going to happen to this group its up to Mosie
what she wants to do.

If you have anything in this group that you'd want to save better to take it now.

Although we have a close date I wouldnt put it passes MSN to Just pull the plug.

Ive not looked into any alternatives yet
I might have a forum on my website provider that we could temperary use, untill things have be decided by Mosie

Just incase...lol

This came into my own group today looks like you dont set up a Multiply group just yet, we did last night but deleted it today..Maureen

got this in managers helping managers though seems good advice

I cannot stress this enough!

Remember not to create your new group if you are going to use the migration tool to move your content!  You can create your personal site and become familiar and they work much the same except there are group features.

But the Migration tool WILL create your group for you, and if you create it now manually, you will lock up and not be able to use  the same Group ID.  You cannot reuse a personal or group ID even if you cancel it.  This is so that if you do cancel a personal site or group, no one can come back, use it and appear to be YOU.

So remember - if you are going to MOVE your group content using the Migration tool, do not create your group yet!  Just your personal site!
