At these people that steal your info and credit card numbers!!!!! was unfortunate to have had my bank card used for several purchases internationally which are completely fraudulent. It was too much of an inconvenience and nerve wrecking! The back has cancelled all my check cards and credit cards and will be sending me new ones. Now I have to change/call everyone that I pay automatically with my cards like Vet Pet Insurance so our doggies won't have a lapse on their policy and several other places that debits my card for any payments. They are doing some researches as to who and how these crroked people got my info, once purchase was from Bucharest (sp. chk.) and the other somewhere in Africa. I had been doing online purchaces for the last 4 yrs and never had been a victim of anything fraudulent till last week. Thank good ness it wasn't thousands of dollars, just a few hundred and they were all credited back to my account....GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRthis is such a hassle!
The back re-assured me that everything will be alright and they have turned everything to the authorities just in case something goes wrong with my account again, which I doubt because the cards had been terminated. I review my accounts online almost everyday just to be sure nothing fishy is going on, I'm glad I caught the charges that I didn't make.
Okay, I'm finished now, I don't feel any better, just needed to blow off some steam!
yeah bay, it's such an inconvenience coz I have to call each and every merchant that have automatic monthly debits on my old cards. they refunded my money which is good but i ahve to fill out lots and lots of papers for the claims. hope this doesn't happen to anyone here.
I understand what you are going through Cece I had the same problem a few months ago they got £3500 thats about 7000 dollars from my account it took months to sort out the mess the bank did refund the money but it was the feeling of being violated in this way that made me so angry glad you got it sorted Hugs Yvonne
