We just got a crock pot(slow cooker) for a wedding present. Does anyone have any recipes they would like to share?

Chicken Swiss Casserole

Layer as stated.
4-8 chicken breasts
6-8 swiss cheese slices
can of cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can of milk
box of dry stuffing mix
a scoop of butter
Lid

I typically just throw things in. You can omit the milk if you want. More of less of the chicken or cheese as you like. Try other cheeses or soups... Any kind of stuffing. I usually start my crockpot around 1:00 in the afternoon and set it for low. Then it's ready by 6. If your pressed for time High.
Enjoy!

What do you mean, you just throw things in? Theres no order to it, do I make up the stuffing before I add or do I throw it in straight from the box, do I make the soup, or just add whats in the can? And whats the milk for?

Thanks for the recipe
Hugs, Terra

Salsa Beef Chili

I noticed this recipe on the site you recommended, Yvonne. Looks good, I thought... something my son would like.

1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
3 tablespoon chili powder
1 carrot, chopped (optional)
1 (16 oz) jar mild salsa
1 (14 1/2 oz) can chicken broth
1 (15-19 oz) can black beans [no salt added], rinsed and drained
1 (11 oz) can whole-kernel corn [no salt added], drained
1 (14 1/2 oz) can diced tomatoes in puree

Combine all ingredients in your slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Serve with thick slices of Italian bread.
