I found these tuts that I think may be helpful for the newbies that want to learn more about pixeling. Or even for us old folks, I found something in there I didn't know about LOL
 
These tuts show how to pick your colors, shade, the first one is a basic setting up your tool palette and how to start pixeling.
 
The last 2 are easy and cute bear tuts that I thought you might like to try.
 
The first one is awesome because it actually shows how many pixels there are, separated by a white line. You don't have to guess whether it's 1 or 2 LOL It also has a link to Christina Gibbs outlines.
 
The second one is color coded for the number of pixels.
 
 
I really hope these help you, and maybe we'll see some more joining in. Hint Hint LOL
