Since spring has sprung, I'm quite sure that all there will be candle parties sprouting all over town. One of our dear members, Moongoddess, is having her Partylite Candles party today (for our dear sisters from UK, this is a gathering by invitation only by the Hostess for Partylite candles where you get to meet people, chit chat and see/smell the wonderful product. I love partylites since it makes your house smells like you're in paradise or make it look like you've slaved all day cooking and baking in the kitchen. These candles are special because they burn long, smell great (never waxy smelling), and the candle burns all the way thru (hardly ever tunnels). Sheesh, I wish Partylite is paying me for this lol.... I will be posting some quick tips about candles and proper maintenance of your home w/o worries of burns or spent carpets, etc. Blessed Be. |

If you accidentally had dripped candle wax on your carpeted floor or your precious rugs, don't panic! This is one trick that I have tried and helped me a lot of times. As soon as a candle dripped, get some ice cubes or if not readily available, get a paper towel and run cold water to it. The idea is for you to apply the cold stuff on the wax dripping to cool it down. This will make wax harden quickly. After was coagulates and hardens (make sure you gave it enough time), peel it off from you carpet slowly. So there you have it, instead of scraping that wax dripping immediately from the carpet making it more prone to staining, just stay calm, and you'll get it off the carpet/rug in a jiffy. Hope that helps. Anyone that has tips to share about candles, pls. feel free to post your suggestions. |
