This is to answer a question by one of the members re: using a signature for their email.

There are so many ways in making your email more personalized to suite your personality. One of them is basically creating your "signature" so everytime you email someone or reply to an email, your mail has it's own signature.

***A lot of people use incredimail to create their own signature by actually using the mouse to "write" their name on the email or stationery. I used to have incredimail a while back but didn't keep the program because it was a beta program (long time ago, not sure if it's improved now) and it's bogging down my puter. I see so many people use incredimail now that I think it's working out fine for them. Click on the link below to take you to their website, I don't guarantee anyone that it's the right program to use so they can make a signature for their email.

***Another way of personalizing it is by using your favorite quotation at the bottom of each of your messages.

You can create a signature that automatically appears in all of your outgoing messages. Go to Hotmail, click on HELP and a menu will drop down. Go down a bit and click on Mail and this is what you will see:

  1. Go to the Options page.
  2. On the left side of the page, click Mail, and then click Personal Signature.
  3. Type your personal signature in the text box.

Note

To format the text of your signature, select Show the rich-text toolbar.

There are several topics that may be of help to you to make your email not just the ordinary looking mail. Go ahead and experiment.

Lastly, some people would resort to bandwidth theft by copy/pasting any image or sigtag from a site to their email. Pls. be aware that this is highly unacceptable. Hotlinking an image slows dowm the person's server and it costs them a lot, too. Sometimes, it may even cause them to shut down their site because of so much bandwidth theft.

I hope this was helpful.

HI!
A question about incerting pictures in emails.
Is it considered bandwitch theft if you put in a sig tag from your saved images? Hot linking, is it caused from copying and pasting? Or copying and pasting some one elses art? I'm learning more every day, that's why I ask questions,to make sure I learn right.I hope you don't mind.. Between Joe's sharing and caring tips and your help, I am doing just that.
Thank you very much for helping me.
Hugs Cathy
