These instructions are for PSP version 7....with Animation Shop.
Open your image in animation shop...count the number of frames in the animation.
copy the first frame only (highlight and click copy)
take it to PSP and paste as new image, go to layers and duplicate layer.
Type in your text on the new layer.
Go to the layer palette and X out the original layer only.
Now copy the text layer and go back to animation shop...paste as a new animation somewhere on the page-not on the graphic.
Now you have 2 separate images in animation shop.
Remember how many frames in the original graphic ?...that's how many duplicates of the text you will need.
(If there are 3 frames of animated graphic, you'll need to duplicate the text image that many times...)
Now.....click on the 1st frame of the text images...go to EDIT>select all>Edit>copy.
Go to the first frame of the animated graphic and click to highlight it....go to EDIT>select all> paste into selected frame....
while holding down your mouse place your text where you want it to be...DO NOT RELEASE YOUR MOUSE until you are sure of where you want text placed. The text will appear, as if by magic, in all of the original frames....and it won't bounce around when you save it....save as .gif in a folder of your choice.
Hope this was helpful Barbara
