x.x.Roleplay.Title// "... Understanding. (Shockwave #1)"

The consensus is this. Professional Wrestling Today fans believe that Xavier Homicide will unanimously defeat Marcus Payton in the opener to Shockwave. The question, however, is whether the PWT fans have it all wrong. Well... Do they? History will suggest they do. Xavier Homicide is the current PWT Titanium Champion. He is one of the premier wrestlers in PWT. He is one of those wrestlers than can seemingly play you in the ring, and then when he needs to step it up he will outclass you. Whether Marcus Payton knows anything about Xavier Homicide or not, seems irrelevant, because the consensus amongst everyone who does know Homicide is that he will get the job done. And yet, these very same people don't know a thing about Marcus Payton. The Elite Republic of Amerika insists that Marcus Payton is cut from a different cloth. That all members of The Elite are a cut above the rest. From Reagan Clyde, being able to beat any damn man's ass... To Lionheart Aiden McCallum being the PWT marquee for his ability to ware almost anyone down... To Mikah being the premier female wrestler in PWT, before she even has to say a word due to PWT's such poor standard. To Charity Skye, the most brilliant business mind Donald Trump ever had the pleasure of being on the losing end of a negotiation to... And of course... Banch Morgan. Mr President himself. But then, of course... The status and placement of each of The Elite's members on the card goes to tell you that PWT management don't think much of Marcus Payton. And yet... He's suppose to be good? But of course that's questionable. Is he really? Can he truly handle all the responsibility? Here's a small insight into Marcus Payton's history.

He has won no major championships. In actuality, all he's ever held is one title. A tag team title. And this, despite being active for four years. But of course, he never actually won the title. He was handed the title after his partner's partner abandoned him. And in his first title defence, the team actually lost. Record doesn't seem flashy at all, does it? That's because it's not. Title wise, Payton is more pathetic than Colin Delaney was in ECW. He's the Simon Dean of PWT. All talk. But if records were the key determining factor, than Hulk Hogan would always, always win... Even if he did not show up anywhere. Hogan would still be declared the winner. Right? Right. So whilst Payton's record is pathetically pathetic... What is known is that it doesn't really matter anymore. Xavier Homicide can be the Titanium Champion. He can be PWT's marquee. He can even be Barbra Bush. It still does not matter. There's only going to be one constant. That is... Once Payton and Homicide step through the ropes. Face each other, after hearing the announcement of their names. Listen to the referee go over the rules... And then hear that "DING... DING... DING..." only then... We shall witness that... Being PWT's Titanium Champion won't win you a match. I mean, surely Homicide would've beaten someone for that Titanium championship, right? If that's the case, than the last champion... Or last opponent Xavier beat for the championship couldn't have rested on his or hers laurels alone. Right? Right. Champions come and go. But the true test of their worthiness is all about how they handle the opponent that is placed in front of them. PWT believe Xavier Homicide is good enough to face off against Marcus Payton. Wait... Wrong. PWT management believe Xavier Homicide is a shitload better than Marcus Payton. If that really is, of course, the case... Than Payton will be schooled all over the ring. But win or lose, for Payton it's not about the outcome at the end of the match. it's all about what he and The Elite Republic truly represent. People will boo The Elite and Payton due to the belief that The Elite are inward looking, refusing to accept that profesional wrestling is progressing through the cycle of hardcore wrestling. That hardcore wrestling is not only potentially an art that will become mainstream, but that there are wrestling fans that thirst for it. No wrestling fan thirsts for hardcore wrestling. Those fans are no fans of wrestling. Those fans are fans of violence. Fans of blood. Fans of gore. What is the art in hitting someone with a shovel across their nose? Does it make the instigator feel big? Heh...

But I digress. The world spins and spins around. Xavier Homicide... Marcus Payton. The opener to Shockwave. Sure, Payton might've seemed cocky... But deep down, there lies a man who only wants to see the art of wrestling preserved. Maybe he goes about it the wrong way, but that humanises him, no? But I guess that's a sign of weakness... Right? Who knows. But what will happen is that a colision of two identities will occur, and suffice to say... It will be big... Even if PWT Management sees one of these identities as nothing more than a yes man to a PWT member who wishes to defy the rules of PWT by following the rules set by those who came before him... Like the PWT pledge every wrestler sees each and every day...

"I have a dream... I pursued my dream... I am humble... But I am confident... I am kind... But this is not my weakness, it is my strength... I believe in myself, I am GREAT, or I do not belong here... I will train hard, my skills will be tested but i will not give up... I will help my peers with encouragement... I will not criticize or discourage others... I will always show respect to others that paved my way... I will always remember the number one rule... "Protect my opponents at all costs"... I will remain open to suggestions at all times- I want to learn... I am smart, but not a mark. I am not a smart ass... And I had a dream... The dream came true..."

A sighed breath is heard...

"... pathetic..."

The voice is soon shown to be Marcus Payton. But where exactly is the setting? We seem to see that a dummy is placed in front of Payton, as he holds a baseball bat to his shoulder. The room is nothing but white. We see nothing else. No windows. No walls. Nothing but pure whiteness surrounding Payton and the dummy. Even the chair is white. The dummy is a creamy colour. Payton wears a white, buttoned up shirt and silver long dress pants. His sleeves are unbuttoned as they're rolled up about half way up his forearm. The emotions in his eyes are a window to his soul. But his face seems very stone cold like. Unemotional. Emotionless. Almost as if he was... Heartless. Soulless. How can his eyes be a window into his soul when he's almost soulless? A contradiction? Who knows. But what was a contradiction was that the pledge of a professional wrestler almost seemed completely opposite to what those within PWT acted like, or even believed. This went through his mind... The pledge... Point by point. As he thought about each point, he would swing the bat towards the dummy, hitting it with great force.

[.In His Mind.]
[Point: "I have a dream... I pursued my dream..."]
... is that so? Was your dream to beat the living daylights out of your opponent? Or to be beaten up? Was your dream to believe your own shit? PWT wrestlers make me want to spit out. They're pathetic. They don't deserve to be wrestlers...

[Point: "I am humble, but I am confident..."]
... No. No one in PWT have even shown one iota on humility. They do show another word starting with H, however. Hubris. Confident? No... over confidence. They send Xavier Homicide to face me and thrown me out there as a curtain jerker. Grand. I don't mind that. I stole the fucking show from opening a pay per view once, by making a legend tap out. So let them continue to be "humble" and "confident"... Because soon they will see that what they practice is not humble, and what they feel shall be fear...

[Point: "I am kind... But this is not my weakness..."]
... Kind? No. PWT shows no essence of kindness. Violence each and every show. Shockwave? Hardcore Hell? These are truly titles which shout "Kindness"... Heh... kindness is never a weakness, at least the fools understand this.

[Point: "I believe in myself, I am GREAT, or I do not belong here..."]
... Heh... Laughable. Deplorable. Most believe they are GREAT, no doubt. And most do belong here. But it's not because they are great, that they belong here. It is because they're the impure’s that frequent PWT. Most, if not all seem to believe in themselves TOO much. That they are TOO GREAT. I suggest that this is just TOO MUCH BULLSHIT. Heh...

[Point: "I will train hard, my skills will be tested but i will not give up..."]
... Interesting. Yes, their skills will be tested. I hope they do work hard. I hope they do not give up. If they truly do believe in these ideals, than I can sit and smile. For, I will make sure that all their training  will go to good use and that all of their determination will be integral in how they take on the challenge of Marcus Payton.

[Point: "I will help my peers with encouragement... I will not criticize or discourage others..."]
... let me guess. The Elite Republic of Amerika are the ones that have broken this point? We have violated the pledge by not encouraging PWT wrestlers. We have criticised PWT wrestlers, and we have discouraged them. Right? Wrong. We have encouraged PWT... Even urged PWT to give up their ways of treachery and bastardising professional wrestling. We have criticised them for not doing so, but to not criticise and to accept the norm is akin to an authoritarian regime. Is PWT full of communists? I sure fucking hope not. But we have not discouraged anyone... For, everyone's hatred for each other has been formed into a new hatred for The Elite Republic... hence, we have actually encouraged them... And let's see if after the first round of battles, if they can continue to back up their shit...

[Point: "I will always show respect to others that paved my way..."]
... heh... Quoting Plato or Aristotle does not mean a philosopher respects the teachings of such figures. Likewise, just because PWT and those who inhabit it believe they are creating a revolution and modernising professional wrestling, like those before them, does not mean they are anything like those before them. In fact, the way they are "modernising" professional wrestling is nothing short of a disgrace. it's absolutely outrageous. Would Lou Thesz or Captain Lou Albano think that PWT was a place that was seen as modernising wrestling? The fact that PWT has a title called "The Backyard Championship" just goes to show the absolute disrespect that PWT officials and management have for those who did pave the way for wrestling, and for all those who risk their lives executing moves such as pile drivers and DDT's, only to be expected to be at the receiving end of a chair shot?

[Point: "I will always remember the number one rule... "Protect my opponents at all costs"..."]
... yeah, because getting a shovel hit on your nose is really getting protection from your damn opponent. Right? RIGHT! PWT is a joke. "The People's champion"... So did the people vote Jessica Jones as their champion, did they? Are PWT fans really that dumb to vote in that piece of trash? or is it just one of those gimmick names, that tries and be original, but really just comes out looking like a creation of a bunch of tools? It seems like the latter is of course, the case. PWT officials shouldn't be worried about PWT wrestlers protecting their opponents. They should be worried about The Elite Republic blowing their cover up, because PWT isn't a damn wrestling federation or organisation. It's a violent joke.

[Point: "I will remain open to suggestions at all times- I want to learn..."]
... Here's a suggestion. Ratify The Amerikan Elite championship. And here's something you all in PWT ought to learn. Some respect for the art and profession of professional wrestling.

[Point: "I am smart, but not a mark. I am not a smart ass...]
... Again, I cannot concur. Most are not smart. Most are in fact, marks... marks for themselves. And if there is any remnants of smartness, it is that they are smart asses.

[Point: "And I had a dream... The dream came true..."]
... And I await until the dream I truly believe will become true. That is, the destruction of PWT, and the legitimisation of The Elite Republic of Amerika... But of course... In the end, this pledge is a good marketing tool. But it's too bad that the PWTers do not follow it. This is why... The pledge and PWT will always be seen as a joke...

And as Marcus Payton takes the final swing of his bat, hitting the dummy, he turns around and lets go of the bat walking away... The bat drops, but half way down is slowly disappears, dissipating into small pieces than gone for good. The scene around him also starts to dissipate and dissolve around him, as he's finally fully turned his back on the dummy, which has also disappeared. We then see that Marcus Payton is now standing in a dark locker room. The scene we witnessed just before were the actions of the inner sanctum of his mind. We knew his thoughts on each point in the PWT pledge was going through his mind, after each whack of the bat on the dummy... But what we didn't know until now that each one of his thoughts would gel together into a larger portion... A commentary of the scene... A scene that plays in his head. Each whack represented his hatred of PWT. Their contradictions. Their inability to understand that what they did was in fact a detriment to professional wrestling. How they acted. Inappropriate. One should have the freedom to act and feel and believe what they wish. But once freedom becomes something that infringes on the core of the subject matter... Those beliefs and actions which were as a result of the overuse or the inappropriate use of said freedom, must be punished... And quite simply.. that's what The Elite Republic of Amerika are simply doing.

Standing in the dark locker room... The door slightly opens, as the light is let in. A figure can be seen. We're yet to see who the figure is. Maybe a member of The Elite Republic? A member we haven't seen? Or even one of the current members? Who knew? Despite the light being on that figure's side, the face was obscured by being virtue of facing into the darkness. All we saw was the outline... The silhouette of said figure, as the light casts its shadow down, only to disappear into the darkness of the locker room. Payton slightly turns his head and nods...

"I know what to do... It's not like I cannot analyse the situation..."

A chuckle from the figure is heard, as they turn away leaving Marcus Payton with his own thoughts on his match with Xavier Homicide on Shockwave. No doubt Xavier Homicide knew not of what Payton could truly deliver. however, the same scenario also faced Marcus Payton. For, these two never crossed paths anywhere before. Most of PWT's talents were foreign names to Marcus Payton. And no doubt most of The Elite Republic's names were foreign to the PWTers. There was no avoiding it. Both sides were getting themselves into a situation where they did not understand each other's strengths and weaknesses. All one side really knew was that Banch Morgan was a damn good talent, and that he was leading a troop of unknown wrestlers to take down PWT. And from the view of the neutral fan, The Elite Republic of Amerika only knew that Javen was a hardcore wrestler, and that PWT seemed to enjoy not being mainstream... That is, they loved to be different. And despite all this, both sides seemed to have found enough hatred for each other to want to make each match involving the Elite Republic, big.

Correction... Only the Elite Republic had hatred for PWT. PWT seemingly thought of The Elite Republic as a bit of an insignificant group, a bother and clearly felt a bit of indifference towards the whole thing. But a handful of them were obviously attracted enough to want to come out and face The Elite Republic. This tells that The Elite did indeed raise heads and did command a bit of attention. But I guess one thing that has yet to be explored is that... Despite Xavier Homicide being of a PWTer... He seemingly had been silent through this whole Elite Republic episode. Maybe he didn't even really care. Maybe to him, Marcus Payton is merely just another opponent for him to take down to show that he is indeed a valuable Titanium Champion. But whatever Xavier Homicide's opinions or feelings might be towards Payton and the rest of The Elite... it still didn't take into consideration that he stands with PWT by virtue of not standing with The Elite. And that meant that Payton’s feelings were simply this... Xavier Homicide needed to be taken out, only then would The Elite's goals continue on. Not a single fucking mistake..o Or else what The Elite worked towards could potentially be jeopardised...
