M. Payton Banner by Banner

x.x.Roleplay.Title// "Insert witty title here (SW#2)"
x.x.Dating// Reagan Clyde. <3
x.x.Accomplishments// ...
x.x.Out.Of.Character// This'll be my last one for the card. w00t.

He scratches his head...

"Haha. You know... I like this guy. Maybe some of the PWT guys ain't so bad after all..."

A figure looks squarely at him. He shoots a look of confusion face, pulling a face. He then smirks, as we find out the figure is Reagan Clyde. Hence, the voice must be Marcus Payton. Sometimes it seems like those two are joint at the hips. But sadly, they're not... Not anymore, anyway. She's too bored of him, she says. He's not exciting enough for her and her high flying lifestyle! DAMN YOU, HUGH HEFNER!... Anywayzzz...

"Okay... okay... But you've gotta admit... That like... "Did I cut you off in traffic or something?"... I like that. He's funny."

The scene is set for a classic encounter. You know what Payton truly thinks of PWT... But despite all this... He is his own man. Somehow people don't think this is possible. Even Xavier Homicide... The X-Man touched upon it... Asking whether Payton only hated him because of his victory over Banch. As great as Banch is... He's hardly a cult figure for Payton to look up to, admire and kiss ass. Say... Unlike.. Santie Claus. Or Hulk Hogan... IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT!... But back on track. The point here is that Marcus hates not Xavier Homicide the man. He hates Xavier Homicide, the figure of representation. PWT. Violence. Backyard bullshit. See the difference? I'm sure if Payton and Homicide sat down for a beer they would get along like a house on fire. Maybe in reality The X-Man really transcends all that? Payton doesn't know. If he did, and he found out that in fact, Xavier did transcend all that, then maybe Payton would be reluctant to go into this match... Okay, that's a lie. Payton doesn't go into anything with much reluctance or hesitation... Except if it's to go into a fat chick... *Shudder*...

...

Anyway, as the point stands. The war might be The Elite Republic versus PWT. However, the battle will be Marcus Payton versus Xavier Homicide. And whilst Payton is a virtual unknown to the PWT fans and wrestlers alike, Xavier is the PWT Titanium Champion. He is what The Elite Republic will call, one of PWT's Elites. After all, he did beat Banch Morgan, who is purported to be the best the Elite Republic have to offer. But it is interesting to note that Xavier Homicide actually paid quite a nice little tribute to Marcus Payton, suggesting that maybe... Just maybe Payton could be "the" force to be reckoned with. If that is truly the case, and Xavier does think that... Payton's obligated to compliment him back. After all, no one likes to compliment someone, then be told in return that they are a Awesome Kong-faced banana bender. Right?... What does that mean anyway? Urgh... You don't want to know... But I digress. Xavier Homicide must surely be a very, very good wrestler, an opponent Marcus Payton will hopefully be proud to face off against. For, as stated... Even if the war is between The Elite Republic versus PWT... This particular battle is between Xavier Homicide and Marcus Payton... Like Hector and Achilles engaging in battle, the reasons are not personal. And whilst there might be belief that Payton will represent the rage of Achilles, for Xavier- in this case, Hector- was able to down the figure of Petroclus (Banch Morgan)... These beliefs are misguided at best. Payton doesn't seek revenge for the spilt blood of Banch Morgan. Banch Morgan can look after himself. Payton's only here to bring purity to wrestling. And as corny as that sounds... If Xavier Homicide stands in the way... Than there's really no choice. Even if he doesn't, it will be quite a nice little challenge anyway. You know that saying "The reluctant hero"? This situation is a little bit like that. But only, Payton sees himself as no hero- No, no kids. He's not Superman. What it is, is reluctance of spilling any more blood needed. But if blood is the only thing PWT understands... Than really... No choice. Disappointing.

No matter. But anyway... let's get to know a little bit more about Marcus Payton. He's a romantic at heart. He likes long beaches on the walk, and a candle light dinner. He also likes kiwi fruit. w00t. And he is... By belief alone... His own belief... The most purist wrestler to have ever stepped into the wrestling ring. He looks down upon hardcore wrestling. Surprise, surprise. He believes the best way to work, is to work stiff. He believes in the Japanese school of thought, but is not adverse to taking the direct, high flying route when needed. For instance, he's been known to be quite a high flyer in his early years. But like Jushin Thunder Liger, TAKA Michinoku and Hayabusa, to name but a few, before him... He has had to slow his style down and wrestle a smart match, rather than a fast paced match. But I’m sure the calls from the PWT faithful will be that Payton's just a wannabe Japanese. Japanese this. Japanese that. What a fucking weeabo. Right? Ha. Wrong. For, one needs to look outside of one's own social sphere to truly experience what life and the world has to offer. Why confine oneself to what one has already known, whilst being afraid to look outwards and assimilating the positive aspects which could be present within one social sphere, and not one's own said social sphere? it's as simple as that. Marcus Payton is a learned man. He has travelled far and wide. And whilst that might not impress the PWT Faithful... Payton's quite proud of his experiences. Life took him form one end of the world to the other. And this has made him who he is. Sure, he might be a tad uptight sometimes... For instance, his up tightness is what Xavier seemingly saw in him. But he can also be a human too, ya know? But unfortunately... Unfortunately... Marcus Payton the man... The quiet soul. The fun loving pacifist will have to stay in the back, as Marcus Payton the wrestler comes out... To defend The Elite Republic of Amerika. Ah... Nationalism makes us do crazy things, don't they?

The scene is now finally set... As in.. What we see. Not the hypothetical! Reagan Clyde is in the back, flipping through a magazine. She's sitting on a single couch chair, legs up, but also crossed. She's wearing a nice mini skirt, which is riding up her thigh. She's also wearing a nice, pink long sleeve top with black fingerless gloves. How punk. She's flicking through one of her girly mags... But knowing Reagan's mind... It's probably Time Magazine or something of the sort. Maybe the Financial Review? In any case, Marcus Payton is sitting down. Black, denim dress jeans and a white buttoned shirt, which is only buttoned up half way up his chest, with the sleeves half rolled up. How classy. The casual, classy look. He watches the Xaiver Homicide promo, intently, as he broke the silence between them once more.

"... You know, babe, I remember Javen... Or was it Summer Stratus? ... Eh, one of them, complaining about how our promos were very... Blasé. Actually, they didn't use that word. But you know what I mean... However, I don't quite understand it. Xavier Homicide seemingly doesn't shut up, and yet... They'll probably look upon him as the great protector or some shit."

He shrugs, as she takes no notice. Continuing to watch the promo, Reagan continues to flick through her magazine.

"I thought saying "Xenophobe Homo-side" would get me that Quote of the Week slot on the PWTinc.com website homepage. I guess I was wrong" =(

This time she looks at him with a sarcastic look. He smiles and then she breaks into a smile, as he leans in to her for a kiss. She kisses him and pushes him away playfully. A knock is heard on the door as Shauna Lane pops her head in. She smiles gingerly, as Reagan glares at her. Payton quickly jumps to his feet and walks to the door.

"Well, looks like it's interview time. Don't wait up, babe."

He says this teasingly as he seemingly runs towards the door and to Shauna. Reagan shakes her head, as Payton leaves. Payton and Shauna walk down the hall, whilst they converse.

Shauna: "So are you ready for the interview? Hopefully this will be fun".

"Yeah, let's make it fun. Well. As fun as we can... because Shauna. This is a pretty serious situation here. PWT vs The Elite Republic."

His facial expression turns serious.

".. You're lucky you're only a woman, or else I would've thrown you through the door before, for not asking if it was alright to come in... PWT Scum."

Shauna looks a bit concerned, as Payton then smiles again.

"Geez... Relax. I'm kidding. We can't always be professional stiffs, can we?... Heh... Don't worry. The more I’m here, the more you'll get to know me and my sense of humour. Just... Don't take anything personally, okay?"

Shauna nods intently as they get to the interview arena. All the lighting and camera crew is set up, as Shauna and Payton go over what the structure will be like. He understands as the cameras then roll.

Shauna Lane: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am standing here with PWT...."

"***AHEM!***"

Shauna Lane: "... My apologies... The Elite Republic's Marcus Payton. Now, Marcus, earlier Xavier Homicide had quite a bit to say regarding you, your match on Shockwave and of course the Elite Republic. Even going as to mock them openly. How do you respond?"

Taking the microphone to his lips, he speaks... Full of vigour and passion. And just a little bit over the top.

"Well Shauna, I did see Mr Homicide's promo. I thought it was very well done. He seems quite the articulator, doesn't he? If he's as half as good as he is funny, than maybe this match might be a spectacle to behold after all. I mean, he openly mocks Banch Morgan, calling him Tree Branch. Didn't Harlem Cena and Salman van Dam once call Banch that? Oh, oh. let's not forget Jenna McMahon's constant reference of President Morgan as "Branch". If you do not know who these figures are... I suggest you visit http: TWO forward slashes, groups dot MSN dot com and browse the history of all the independent feds. I'm sure there's a youtube somewhere of a Harlem Cena and Salman Van Dam promo. Why? I'm not really sure. I can only assume they put it up themselves... Oh, and if you fail... Visit WGEF or WWF. MASSIVE wrestling promotions, they are... Oh yeah... And just a little bit of info. Harlem Cena and Salman van Dam... Not great talkers on the mic. I think Mike Mazzarone is actually more charismatic. But enough about Salman, Harlem, Cena and Jenna... This is all about Banch... Wait... No it isn't! Fuck Banch Morgan. people talk about him too much already. This is about Marcus Payton and Xavier Homicide."

Taking a breath, he wipes his forehead in a dramatic manner, pretending that all of this is just too much for him.

"Now X-Man, you did mention Marcus Johnson. I'm sorry... But who is that? Another Marcus? Well, you should only focus on Marcus Payton. Sure, I’m not charismatic as Javen, or have an original name like Summer Stratus, or half as good looking as Lorri Anne... I swear, that girl's good looks breaks mirrors when she looks into them... BUT... I am here. I am now. I will be your opponent. And I sincerely hope to share your sentiments that our match might be the one that becomes the highlight of this week's Shockwave... And if it isn't.. I'll just pull a Disco Inferno and blame... Bret Hart... But seriously. You don't care for the whole PWT vs ER thing. I understand that. Nor do I really care for anyone else who doesn't quite understand the art of wrestling."

His facial expression becomes a bit more serious.

"It's simply like this, Xavier. You and I. We have nothing personal against us. Sure, maybe I said a little bit of stuff against you, which maybe in hindsight wasn't the smartest thing to do. But in the end.. If it means you'll want to beat me down even more... Than Grande. Simply... Grande. I wouldn't want you to go into this little match half arsed. And even if you're not representing the PWT. You are representing Xavier Homicide. The wrestler. The Titanium Champion. The essence of you. And whilst, no matter on the ideological clashes we might or might not have. I have respect for each and every person who can enter this ring and who can put on a wrestling match. Not a hardcore match, but a wrestling match. And I can only assume that as Titanium Champion, you don't jump from rooftops, or hit your opponents with shovels. So Xavier... Simply this. Good luck in your match. You might strive to beat me. Maybe that desire burns in your heart. Not because it's me. But because I am an opponent, and the wrestler's own personal code is to strive to be the best one can be... If not better. And by following that code, you have no choice but to want to beat me. But know this. That code is also what I abide by. Not by your pathetic PWT conduct code. But by The Code of the Elite Republic. Ideology aside. Personal feelings aside. Wrestling... Ad wrestling good, to outsmart, out manoeuvre your opponent... Is the agenda for the night."

He lets go of Shauna's hand and smiles to the cameras. Not a threatening smile. But a seemingly confident, relaxed smile. Maybe too over confident? Too relaxed? Who knew. But this Marcus Payton seemingly was the complete opposite to the one that PWT seemingly thought would enter on the side of the Elite Republic. For... The war would start on the December 10th edition of Shockwave... But this battle... Would lay the foundations for said war... Despite whatever the competitors truly did personally feel... And trust me when I say... You have not worked out Marcus Payton... But solely on his affiliation alone...
