Most of yawl that have known me for awhile know about what happened to my mom earlier this year. For those who don't I'll shed some light on the subject. Basically she's a diabetic (runs in our family) and she had a blister on one of her toes of the right foot. She'd already lost a toe in 2006 on the same foot. Anyways this blister got really infected and gang greene setup in it. Eventually she had to lose the leg up to just below her knee. Well while she was in the hospital she ended up gettin a grade 4 bedsore. Ya could literally see her tailbone. We got that healed up near the end of the summer. And now....Now the news is better and better. This coming Friday my mom goes to Memphis to get measured and fitted for her artificial leg!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to pass along this update for the people that had ya know offered me an my mom their thoughts an prayers in those trying times. Thank ya ta all of yawl.
I know what that is though because my grandfather died three years ago from it and my mom is almost getting it. I hope she doesn't lose her leg though because now it's something else going on with inflammation in her foot.
Anyway, I hope your mom doesn't have to go through anything like that again. The best thing to have in the world is good health above money and everything else.
