PRESS-BASH COVERAGE

[ The FWA feed comes back into the arena. ]

Eden: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, we’re getting word that the Press Bash is about to begin so allow us to take you to our coverage of this epic event live in New Orleans right now. Our very own Gary Jones is there reporting.

[ The cameras switch views and shake a little as a camera is getting in place. It’s stable now. What we see is a room filled with a bunch of people, ranging from photographers to cameramen to news reporters. Our central view is from the back of the room looking up at the front, over the reporters and journalists heads and to a long table where various people stand and sit behind. Quite a few papers and microphones have been laid across the table in anticipation of what is to come as well as three championship belts gleaming in the light ?two [PWT, FWA] Tag Team Championships and the FWA Television Championship. ]

Gary Jones: Thank you Eden, yes we’re here at the Press Bash in New Orleans and I can feel the excitement in the air. I’m being told Seifer is about to make his way onto the stage. I’m looking forward to hearing what he has to say.

Eden: As are we all.

[ A middle aged man dressed in a suit that was standing near the middle of the tables leans into one of the microphones, it looked like he was in charge. ]

Michael Foray: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome current FWA and PWT Superstar, Seifer!

[ A solid applause is heard as Seifer pushes open a couple of doors off to the left of the stage and walks up the steps. He’s dressed in a casual crème colored suit and has a black briefcase in his left hand as he waves to the small crowd thanking them for their applause. Seifer shakes Michael’s hand and sets the briefcase down to the right of the titles and takes a seat. ]

Seifer: Thank you Mr. Foray and thank you all for coming here tonight. As you know this has been in the workings for weeks on end in anticipation of a PWT/FWA match of sorts. Nothing like a super show but merely a couple matches to showcase the potential of the two company’s possible working together on future endeavors. You are all aware of the match signing that will take place later on between FWA’s own William Rodney Mercy and PWT’s own Christian Michaels. It will no doubt be a sight to see and I look forward to the match itself. Being a superstar in both federations and even a champion in both, I have taken on the role as a sort of ambassador to this epic event. Likewise, we also sought to add some excitement to the event itself that will be taking place soon. Featuring not one, but two matches pitting stars of both companies against one another.

[ As Seifer speaks, Gary Jones is standing near FWA’s cameraman, able to say things subtly to the fans of FWA back at the arena. ]

Gary Jones: This ought to be good.

Seifer: However before I get into that, I would like to make a couple of statements. Number one I promised you a huge announcement and I’m afraid I can’t deliver one?BR>
Gary Jones: Huh?

[ Seifer smiles, as he looks around a confused room. ]

Seifer: Because I am going to be delivering TWO! The first being what I have here in this briefcase.

[ Seifer pats the briefcase and then reaches over, lifting up his Television Championship as he rises. ]

Seifer: As you know this TV Title was created a few months back when FWA sought it best to unify a couple of their championships. While a good idea, the champ at the time really didn’t do anything with the title. Now since then I’ve made it my mission to make the title better but I kept having this uncomfortable feeling about it. I’m a man of innovation; I’ve even been dubbed a Creative Genius. To stand here and say that I’m proud to represent FWA as its TV Champion?is a lie. I am proud to be a champion in FWA, but the TV Championship? That’s simply uncreative. Since my name has become synonymous with this title I’ve shown it is possible to push it, to use it as a proper piece of being a Champion of Television. However we can’t ignore the fact that the TV title belongs in WCW, WWE even. In this new age of wrestling it is common for companies to try new and interesting ideas, however it is also important to hold true to what got us here in the first place. I’ve spoken to the higher ups about this and they have agreed with all of what is about to happen, that while the run may have been short, it is time to pull the plug on the Television Championship. Therefore as of this moment, FWA’s TV title is now defunct.

[ The flashes start to go off as do the voices but Seifer holds up his hands after setting down the title to quiet them down. ]

Seifer: FWA presents Die Hard Wrestling at its finest. We have some solid talent here and it’s not arrogance that says that I am one of them. To truly have that die hard persona about you, one must possess a certain sense of attitude in the way they carry themselves. As I’m sure you’ve seen, I have that ‘it?factor. So while the unoriginal TV Championship is no more, it’s about time FWA returns to its roots. The name may not have originated in the Fans Wrestling Alliance but since the seventh edition of Conflict it has become a staple in FWA Championship History.

[ Seifer reaches forward and spins the briefcase around, turning it and clicking the locks in place as he opens it. Seifer reaches inside and pulls out?]

Seifer: The FWA Attitude Championship. It’s time we remind the world that we have the attitude it takes to rise up and remain a fixture in today’s top companies.

Gary Jones: The Attitude Championship is back! Oh wow.

[ An eager reporter quickly shoots off a question, figuring Seifer would try and continue with his announcements. ]

Reporter: Seifer! What about Superstar Joe, he just won a contendership to a now defunct title.

Seifer: That was my second order of business before my bigger announcement. I’d like to congratulate Joe on his victory. Before coming on I was glued to my seat watching Superstar Joe, James Tsunami and Jesse James Miller tearin?it up out there. Though I’ll admit during the week I’ve been a little biast in who I wanted to win. Seifer versus Superstar Joe is a dream match and if you know your wrestling history in 2007 especially when talking about the companies we’re dealing with here today, you know exactly why. So I will of course honor the contendership, I’d be a fool not to want to. All I’ve been given permission to do is resort back to the old title, nothing more, nothing less.

Gary Jones: Seifer versus Superstar Joe! That’s gonna be awesome!

Seifer: However, he won’t be the first challenger to the title. No, for my big announcement is something that has been in the works since before the contendership match was made. This epic event wouldn’t be complete with just one match. The event is already going to be on neutral grounds but it wouldn’t hurt to have a little more star power. Obviously WRM versus CM will take the Main Event stage as they will be the true company rep vs company rep. I’ve got no problem kick starting the event and getting everyone extremely excited. Not to mention that I think we ought to give everyone a show they’re going to be talking about for ages. A match pitting superstars?that wrestle in both companies.

[ He smiles, he knew people were getting excited. ]

Seifer: An old, dormant rivalry that has shown signs of activity lately, especially in regard to Tag Team Championships?BR>
[ The excitement nears its climax. ]

Seifer: At the FWA/PWT Event I will defend my Attitude Championship against a former Attitude Champion. The world will witness for the first time in nearly two years, Seifer versus Georgia James, one on one.

[ Bam. Flashes go off like crazy and the roar of the reporters sounds like the roar of a wildfire. ]

Gary Jones: OH MY GOD!

Seifer: I know you all have questions and I assure you, they will be answered in time. The most popular one I’ve heard from the roar just now is why this match. It’s simple. We both have been successful in the two repped companies and we had a great rivalry. With the recent happenings it’d be foolish not to seize this opportunity set before us. Now then, I’ve made my announcements and said my peace. I will now turn it over to CM and WRM. Thank you once again and good night!

[ Seifer grabs the briefcase that now houses the defunct TV title and grabs the Tag and Attitude Championships and placing them over his arm. Even though the questions fire off, this press bash wasn’t for the PWT/FWA Ambassador to get into, merely to make his announcement. He makes his way off the stage, shaking hands with a few people and standing for a photo op moment before disappearing through the wooden doors. ]

Gary Jones: Did you hear that guys?!

Eden: We sure did Gary, the fans in the arena are absolutely going crazy! Seifer versus Georgia James, winner goes on to face Superstar Joe. It doesn’t get much bigger than that.

Gary Jones: I’m being informed it’ll be a few minutes before we get WRM and CM out here.

Eden: Thanks Gary. On that note folks we’ll head to commercial but don’t you dare change that channel! We’ll be back with continuing coverage of the FWA/PWT Press Bash.

[ Fade to commercial. ]

The press is now all gathered around the stage with their cameras and note books as the fans all stand in anticipation for whats about to happen here...

Eden: Welcome back folks. Its time for the press conference to announce the William Rodney Mercy vs. Christian Michaels match official.

Tony: Just what I been waiting for!!!

Franny: Well lets listen in..

With that ALex Redding is shown walking down th ramp to the podium set up on the center of the stage...

Alex: Ladies and gentlemen. I, Alex Redding, am proud to announce that FWA and PWT will be working together to make the WRM vs. CM match happen for all of our fans accross the region, the nation and world wide. This match will not only bring on exitement but shall also bring on an event. We shall have it in San Antonio, Texas. It shall be a free on television. Not a Pay-Per-View event. We are in this business to promote and look out for the best for our federation. Now, a verbal agreement and location has been agreed to but venue, match rules and such. You know? The small details have yet to be decided which had caused the event to be held back for some time. Christian Michaels has been busy in PWT and was not able to make it tonight but I assure you I am holding a document here, wiht his signature...

Alex holds the contract in the air...

Alex: Now the details of the event are still pending. I do apologize for that since we promised having all the details touched by now. But its a business thing. For now, I give you William Rodney Mercy...

The fans boo and cheer giving off mixed reaction as the Rodster comes out from under the curtain and walks up to the podium.

WRM: He introduced me. Not that he had to. But my name is William Rodney Mercy. You want to talk about one of the best wrestlers in this business you talk about me. You want to talk about someone who who comes to work and no matter what he does you know something special is going to happen. You know the world is going to talk when the next day rolls around. When the next week rolls around. And they'll continue talking about me, taking shots at me, and trying to impress me years from now. That's what I do. I'm about exclamation points. I dont know about the "details". I dont know about what will happen but what I do know is that Christian Michaels is a great wrestler. A great performer. But I will be going to the ring to win. So I guess this is where I take your questions...

First reporter takes his crack at asking soem questions... we cant hear what he's saying much so we'll have to go by his answer.

WRM: I believe I stand a very good chance. If I didnt why would I try so hard to make this match happen? I'm reaching out outside the company looking for a challenge and a match people want to see. That's what the business is all about anyway right?

He looks at another reporter and listens....

WRM: No its not PWT vs. FWA. Its WRM vs. CM. And thats that. Next?

He listens to the next reporter...

WRM: FWA has infact taken some blows. Some talent left and I wish them the best. But it is what it is. Ryan Cain left for whatever reason. FWA was a mistake to him. I would feel the same way after a beating like Scarie gave him. ... What?

The same reporter shoots a question back to Mercy...

WRM: ... Yes its a cheapshot. What the f*ck are you going to do about it? Whats he going to do about it? He had an opportunity to do something about my "big mouth" and didnt take it. It is what it is.

Another reporter begins to ask another question as Alex Redding has security escort the previous reporter out of the building.

WRM: Jesse James Miller? That punk ass? Let me tell you something? Did you know who Jesse Miller was before he decided to steal my match-contract? Who the F*ck knew? I'm the guy... F*ck.. you know when some wrestler is trying to find an example good or bad? Im a name that comes up. You know when someone's promo is growing stale and they want to wake someone up? They say my initials. Hell, they shout my first-my middle- and my last name if they think the world is growing bored. You say "WRM" the entire country turns around. You Say "William Rodney Mercy" little native kids in Indonesia are wondering what the f*ck you're taking about.

He listens to the next reporter should a question...

WRM: Who the fuck is that? He said I said what? In 2005??? F*ck, thats funny, because I dont remember a f*king word he ever said.

Mercy points out at another reporter...

WRM: The FWA World title? I dont know when I'm going for that. Somewhere around the month of May maybe. We'll see, I mean, what can I say? I'm not exactly too excited about World titles. I've won them. I've won them at the "biggest" stages and laughed at it. So its not a boy-hood dream or anything. Mr. Scarie, if he still has the title when I come around, is up for a challenge. But if its Mr. Scarie, Deus, Superstar Joe, Davidson, Tyler Hayden or whoever it may be... I'll be ready.

Reporter shouts out a random question...

WRM: I dont care for what Superstar Joe says. He says alot of things. He's still a cheater in my book. But thats it guys. This isnt a free-for-all opportunity. Not a time to be aksing me questions about things that have nothing to do with my match with CM. For me this is it...

He walks off the podium as the reporters keep trying to get questions in....
