Dance teacher Dennis McHugh, 23, becomes the second housemate to be thrown out of Big Brother after he spat in the face of fellow housemate Mohamed. Big Brother had to intervene after a quarrel broke out among the housemates. The trouble started when a number of housemates began rowing. A spokeswoman for the show said: "Around 12.45am [on Friday morning] an argument took place between a number of housemates. During that argument Dennis allegedly spat at Mohamed. Big Brother immediately intervened to separate the housemates to their bedrooms where they have remained for the rest of the night. Big Brother has been talking to the housemates involved and reviewing the situation before any decisions on what action is to be taken."
It seems the row started when Rex smudged pizza on Jen's life drawing of Stuart, causing Jen to burst into tears and seek solace from Dennis in the luxury bedroom. The row involving several housemates ended in a picture painted by Jennifer being slightly defaced and during the argument, Dennis spat in Mohamed's face. A Channel 4 spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset. Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner."

His removal comes after contestant Alexandra De-Gale was booted off the Channel 4 show after allegedly threatening housemates with punishment from "gangster friends". As a result of her being kicked out, the second eviction of the ninth series was cancelled. A spokeswoman said Dennis was called to the Diary Room and told he was immediately being removed from the house after production staff and Channel 4 executives reviewed footage. Other housemates involved in the row were also being called to the Diary Room to "remind them of the rules governing housemates' behaviour". All the housemates involved in the argument had been sent to separate bedrooms and kept apart for the night.
However, the housemates have continued to bicker as they dissect the events that lead to Dennis's removal. The house has divided but everyone is talking about the same thing. Mohamed, Rex and Darnell are being blamed for Dennis's removal by Jennifer, Sylvia, Rebecca and Dale, who do not feel he should have left. Mario, Lisa, Mikey and Luke have discussed how they do not want to be involved in the fighting.
