My Timmy cat is just 4 years old now but I have had him only since
Oct 31st 2006.he came from the rescue centre and is a tabby short haired cat (except it is rather long!!Not long enough to be classed as a hairlonged cat) so he is a little unusual. He is grey and brown tabby.
WE have just moved from a quiet safe meadow cul-de-sac..into a rural area of the vity so he is naturally very nervous of the traffic..trains in the distance..sirens and even the front door..which seems to be so noisy being wooden compared to the quiet closing double glazed door we had before.
Many things are disturbing Timmy..so w ehave had to give him extra time..care and attention.
Luckily for Timmy I have been home for the 4 weeks we have been moved..I am relieved in a way because if I had gone out to work and left him all day..he would be very upset.
He has lost his friends but gained an enemy here..a nasty big black cat who attacks Timmy given a chance.twice we have rescued Timmy from this norty cat..
Since being here Timmy has not slept in his own bed which he loved in The Cotswolds..he has founf, instead,a safe haven ..on top of the boxes that I left in the guests room waiting to be unpacked.(I doubt if they will ever get unpacked all the time Timmy is relaxed and happy on top of them!)
Timmy will have a new experience tomorrow..we are having my daughter BB move in with us and she has a female black cat called Peppa.Peppa has never been outside before..in all her 2.5years..
and I have made it clear to BB that peppa WILL go out..because peppa has so wanted to get out of the flat..and it is only fair that Peppa is allowed freedom of the world!
I hope Timmy will like having peppa around..it will be company and a playmate..but of course my Timmy is used to being King cat of the household and what Timmy says goes!
I do hope this will be a nice relationship because Timmy needs a friend ..
I luv my Timmy he was there for me when parker worked away and I wa sleft on my own all week..Timmy was my bestest buddy and always will be.
He had to go to the vet last week because I spotted one of his claws was not retracting..it was hanging off..and poor Timmy must of been in pain..but did not moan..I got him some antibiotics and painkillers and once we got back indoors Timmy was purring and rubbing against me as if to say "OOH mummy you brought me back home thank goodness and now I have no pain..thankyou mummy"
