Paypal would genuinally call you by your member number or security name you gave....be careful a scam is going on ..a hox email from an alleged paypal asking for far too much personal info!once they get all info they hve access to your money..so check out the following
Securityfocus: http://www.securityfocus.com/news/5039 . Apparently the scam site was registered 2 weeks ago using an already stolen identity.
 The site that the email hoax link directs you to asks for such personal information as:
your full name
your address
home and work telephone numbers
social security number
mother's maiden name
driver's license number and state of issue
your date of birth
your credit card number, expiry number, and PIN number
bank name and telephone number
type of bank account you have along with the routing number and your account number
your email address and password
This is more than enough information for someone to use to steal your identity.  Don't be fooled!
