It is not always possible to see if a gif is copyrighted.

Some creators use watermarks or add their signatures.

But sometimes there is also a copyright hidden in the Gifs code.

If you are unsure of a Gifs Copyright you can easily check by this method

1. Click on the gif you want to check

And move it to your desktop.

2..Reduce your pictures window and check your gif is on the desktop.

3. Now bring up Notepad..

If you arent sure where it is located..Go to Start..All Programmes..Accessories..Note Pad.

4.. Now click on your gif with the mouse and drag over the notepad window.. It will show as a little box only.Then release mouse.

5. Now wait a second while the code loads..

6. Look in the code, either near the beginning or at the end .. It will have the word copyright somewhere there if it is not to be used. It will also name the creator and what date the gif was made.

If in doubt..Dont use that gif...

7. Now return gif back to your pictures

Slide the gif down using your mouse until it reaches the bottom bar. Hold over My Pictures but dont let go. Wait until the page opens by itself then move up slightly before releasing. This will return your gif to the proper place .
