HTML tutorial 1.
Before starting out on a series of HTML tutorials, it would be nice to know what is available for writing HTML in.
Ideally an HTML Editor is favoured for writing webpages, such as Dreamweaver MX
(the favoured editor of most designers), though there are many variants of web-page designer programs or packages ie: Hotmetal Pro, which is another well-known favourite. There are most likely too many to name, but if you don’t have access to one at all, it is quite easy to use a word processor or notepad to write in HTML.
It is just that with tailor-made design packages life is made a little easier.
HTML itself is an anacronym for Hyper Text Markup Language, HTML 4.0 being the most current level for language writing. I wont go into further progressions about it but will try to confine tutorials to the general usage most people would write in for making their web-pages.
It is my intention to do tutorials in small bite-size stages so I can introduce items one stage at a time so you can become familiar with each one as we progress, thereby building up your ability to build comprehensive-looking pages of your own.
