Oh how awful Ballet.  A big pile of cuddles is headed your way.....

Since they were both rescues, their ages are only estimates, but Harley was about 6 and Sammy Ray was about 4.  Rug guppies don't live very long, but they are worth every second of the time they are with you. 

 

Harley loved to stash stuff - her favorite toy was a little finger puppet tyrannosaurus rex head and she also stashed ferret treats (we surmised it was for an upcoming gala dinner party she was planning).  The picture of Harley is of her climbing into a grocery bag looking for new menu items i might have just picked up at the store.

 

Sammy Ray was an incorrigible cat chaser.  I'd be sitting somewhere and see a cat followed by Sammy Ray whiz past my door.  Then, going the other way, i'd see a different cat followed by Sammy Ray going the other way!   The picture of him sleeping in his Tare Panda blanket on a cold winter night was such a lucky shot!  Children always look so innocent when they're asleep, don't they? 

Thank you, Ballet dear, for telling us about your babies.  They sound like two handfuls of fun.  I'm sure all the cats are enjoying a breather in spite of their grief.  Are there any more left at your home?

 

I saw an episode of Barking Mad where an English rug guppy loved to steal hot dogs and carry them upstairs to her stash under a floor board. Very cute.  But possibly very smelly, later.

 

I think both pictures show innocent little angels.  Sleeping and certainly not trying to steal any groceries, just checking that you got yourself enough.    I think I'll go light another candle.

 

Balletcat, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious angels. They certainly were adorable. I can tell they brought you much joy in the short time you had them. Sending many cuddles and hugs for you and the rest of your furries.

I got temporarily "psychotic" when I lost my Cat of 13 years........... I can only imagine how uterly horrible it was and is.......... Much love to  ya!

So sorry to hear of your loss, ballet...my aunt and uncle lost one of their ferrets to adrenal cancer as well.
