Yo dear Quirky kats: I am came home today from another round of the countless errands that have to do with planning farewells to find a box on the front porch addressed to me. When I opened it there was a dozen lovely yellow roses and babysbreath. It put a smile on my face. I opened the card and it was from my Quirky family here on MSN. Thank you all for thinking of me and my family and sending such a sweet remembrance. Yellow roses are the symbol for friendship, I believe and I do cherish our friendship and thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers and kindness. My mother loved roses so your gift was more appropriate than perhaps you knew. We are getting through things as best we can and knowing that I have such dear friends to turn to is a blessing and comfort indeed. Pronker and family. |

Yo Quirkies: I received "another" box with a special sweet remembrance inside. Balletcat shipped a Country Artists sculpture called" Katnap" from all the Quirkies to me. It is such a sweet remembrance. I called her "Sleepy" after Little My's mom. She is perched near the yellow roses and I can't thank all of you enough for givimg me relief from so much sadness. Dear Pronker, I hope Sleepy brought another smile to your face and a lift to your heart.  We all feel for you so much during this time, and we appreciate so much all you have done for us since the Quirkies started to become a family. How is your father holding up? Sleepy is beautiful...even if her sister, Greedy Grumpy, wasn't always nice to her.  Glad the flowers arrived safely as well. Pronker, you and your family will continue to be in my prayers. When my grandmother passed away 2 years ago, the hardest part for me was after all the condolence cards and phone calls had stopped, and it started to sink in for me...just know that we're all here for you, if you just want to talk, or take your mind off things, or need a hug, or whatever else.  |
