Oh, cordee, I just read the news.  So sorry to hear of your niece's loss.  I hope momma got to hold her little one some of the time.  So sad to have a tiny life like that taken before you even get to know them.

Thank you all so very much for your kindness. My niece is home and doing as well as she can. She is not having a funeral, but just a small graveside service Friday morning. There is a beautiful funeral home and cemetary that does burials for babies as a community service, so they are able to give her a proper burial in a beautiful, peaceful cemetary. My niece wanted me with her while they induced her labor and  when the baby was born and I got to hold the her. She was so beautiful with a head full of jet black hair. It was very tough, but I'm glad to have gotten to hold her. The nurses made Marissa a beautiful box with the baby's blanket and bracelets, the dress they made her picture in, her little hat, and feet and hand prints. Marissa named her Alexis Michelle, she planned on calling her Lexie. My sister and niece wanted me to thank you for your prayers and good thoughts; I thank you, too. You all are special folks and I appreciate you.

 

Cordee, thank you for sharing with us.  Those nurses sound like really caring people.  I hope the sevice was comforting for your niece.    

Oh my goodness what a heartbreak.... you are special too cordee.......... continuing to have you in my prayers .... Lexie and your niece too!!!!!!!!!!
