Too funny! She reminds me of my new coworker!

Today my mom caught my dad getting ready to put the hot water bottle into the microwave (you know, the red rubber kind?) after she told him the water wasn't hot enough.

Hmmm.  I sent off for my coupon but I didn't know there was a site to track it's progress.  I'll have to watch the video again and write down all those wawawas.  Who knew?

Slew tried to open an in-line picture of Mel Gibson in an email from Witty.  It was so cute. She's just our lovable Protective Shakespeare Quirkie.  You really should have her tell you about when she discovered her printer could also scan.

Sigh...ok the "I cant open it" story.  Once, very long ago in the Quirkie beginnings, we did a furrie picture exchange.  The original four Quirkies sent each other a photo of all our furries.  Witty/Youssy "claims" she sent a photo of Mad Max CR's sidekick.  Me, being 'puter stoopad [since I had only owned a puter for a couple months] tried and tried to open the picture to see the Mad one.  It never opened.  I kept emailing my sisters saying :I cant open it!!!"  The others knew it was no pic and Witty was faking us out so they were playing along pretending to see a pic.  I was the only one that thought there was a real pic there.  Over and over again I was like a mad woman..."I cant open it!!! I cant open it!!!  Help me!!!"
They laughed and laughed and Im sure secret emails without my name on them went around.  LOL!!!  Finally they took pity on their 'puterally challenged sister and explained there never was a photo.
From that day forward, everytime anyone, including DF sent anything with a picture or attachement, I cringed upon opening it.  It truly gave me a 'puter complex.
Then another time we were about to induct new Quirkies.  I am the one to start the ceremonies.  Everyone was like "Where is she?? Why no ceremony?"  It was because I did not know how to copy and paste so had to type the entire thing to post it.  Thankfully my sisters gave me puter lessons that very day...
Just goes to show you that if you can laugh at yourself, and know others are really laughing with joy at KNOWING you instead of them really laughing AT you, then you can enjoy life and each other.  The "I cant open it" saga truly showed I was indeed a Quirkie.
I love you guys.  Huge cuddle pile to everyone on this site.  Even if we screw up, trust me there are others on here that have done funnier mess ups.  That is what makes this a special burrow.  Only the Quirkie survive and that is how life should be.

Ture, we were all screaming with laughter in our various burrows, but there were no emails that Slew wasn't included in.  We wouldn't laugh at her behind her back.  The title of the original was "Finally a picture of Mad Max"  and instead of her boy's picture attached, she had a small inline photo of Mel Gibson, from the movie Mad Max, maybe from the video box.   Poor Slew kept trying to click on it.

But I think the discovery of the printer/scanner was also a Quirkie classic -  she kept saying where do I put the paper so I can scan this photo?

As one who has had more than one senior blonde moment, all I can do is laugh with sympathy.

Slew,  I think we each have done things like that.  I have had many "Duh" moments.  That is what makes us a quirkie family,  If you can't laugh at yourself, you shouldn't laugh at others.  I love all of you, too!

The computer swallowed The Slew.
Yes, honestly its true!

She pressed 'control and 'enter'

And disappeared from view.

It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,

But nothing did I find.

In desperation, I asked Jeeves
My searches to refine.

The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'

So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
The Slew you should see,

Please 'Copy, Scan' and 'Paste' her
And send her back to me.

Witty
