Now the questioner is always right but... as squirrelly says I think the the "rock cat" is a wiki fable.

In the Bantu/Kiswahili (Swahili) language "rock cat" would be something like jiwepaka or jabalipaka. Jiwe and jabali being nouns for rock and paka being "cat".

There is no word like suricate in their dictionary, nothing comes close. It doesn't even remotely sound African.

Now where is that puff adder reserve to wash down those chocoscorpions.
