Kathyh3 and Jtutton have told us of another site, Aimoo  - and it will even move everything in this burrow if we choose it.   Mamakat has made a test burrow.  Please everyone join so we can try playing jeopardy there.  Addy is

It is a nice burrow.

I suggest we wait a week before playing Jeopardy in the Aimoo burrow.
I would like to play Jeopardy in our MSN burrow for Christmas since this will be our first and last Christmas in our old burrow!

I also think we should wait a week since we found it so late this week.    We will still come home for our New Year's week long celebrations.

I am also enthusiatic, but we haven't tried playing a couple of jeopardy games yet.

Yes, I'd like to play Meerkat Jeopardy at Aimoo from Dec.28 - Jan. 3, and then at Yuku from Jan. 4 - 10.

And if anyone knows of any other free hosting sites that have the features we need, please speak up

I love the Aimoo so much I'm ready to eat the $60/yr for the Diamond! LOL! I'll start working on Yuku. As long as everyone wants to try it. I feel kinda funny about all these burrows we're creating. Are they deletable when we're done, or will we just be floating around in cyberspace forever?

I don't know about all the web sites either...there are so ;many and i can't keep up with which ones i am getting messages from and which ones i am not. I think i would like to have one that i receive all my quirkie love from. which ever it is.... probably multiply will stay around since we have been using it so long ... but i will wait til we decide which one we are gonna use before i start to try and build another web site.
@#&%*!?

I'm losing it!

That sounds like a good plan Tosca.

I know how you feel Rip. It does get a bit
confusing with all this websites, but we will be deciding after the New Year what site to move to,so hang in there!

I'll go wherever the Quirkies decide whether it be forumcircle, wetpaint, aimoo, yuku or another site that may be found....

As for deleting sites, the wetpaint site to be close just needs it pages deleted and after being inactive for a while, its suppose to delete itself or something like that....Forumcircle sites can be locked up so they are inaccessible even to members who joined to delete them and I think there is another way as well that I can look up later....I don't know about aimoo or yuku as I have never heard of them before now...the only other free website hosting site I know of is freeweb and trust me, its a horrible site...I had the Linklu Roleplay Information Site there for a while but hated it....

A quirkie thing happened on the way to the practise game today.

Squirrelly posted the questions, then she couldn't see them. I could see the topic on the big board, but not on the Daily games board. I went back to the big board and clicked on the title, and saw the questions - at the bottom it said in red Waiting Approval, so I approved it.

After a lot of searching, I concluded that permissions han't been set on Daily Jeopardy Games to allow members to post new topics. So I set them.

However, I am not clear on the difference between a Member and an Aimoo user.  Does anyone know?   I am guessing an AImoo user is a visiting member of another forum.  If so, they shouldn't have permission to post on our forum without joining.

If someone can clear that up, I can finalise the permissions.  But it does seem that each new board will need permissions set.

OK  besides the Settings and Permissions, I found a tab at the top of the game board: Hot Topic  Approve  Manage

"Manage" says to approve all posts or not - set it to approve.  That might have been the fix I was looking for earlier.

Aimoo also has skins - background pictures.    I went looking to see if it did, and tried putting up one of my zoo kats photos.  It needs some tweaking.  But it looks more like Yuku and Forumcircle with the meerkat background.

Rip, after you sign in, where your name is at the top, the 3rd box going across is "Images"  -  that's your photo album.

Click on it, and it brings up your album and you can save your pics there.  It's not too different from building you album here.

The albums make a really nice slideshow, too. Check it out when you're done.
