I just read about a particularly worrisome NEW ARRIVAL at the Philadelphia Zoo:
 
Two new female ostriches, Lucy and Ethel, have moved into African Plains.  These are the first ostriches at the Zoo since 1994.  At over six-feet-tall, ostriches are the world’s tallest birds.

I've met emu's and they are not as threatening as the big "O"s but those aussie knobheads well I've not had the pleasure or displeasure or perhaps don't even remember seeing one.
