She was a beautiful cat. I got her when she was a baby from a littler that was never touched by humans so she was kind of hesitant and didn't like other people. After a couple of years she started to hiss and growl when touched in certain places. She would lay in what I called the Dead Cat Pose. Her eyes would say "OWY OWY MOMMY". It would break my heart. I can't tell you how many times I took her to the vet and they would check her...send blood away ...... and nothing. Lots and lots of tests so they would say that she was playing me....but I knew that she was suffering with pain........ she would go to lay down and she would carefully place her little body on the floor as not to lay on the hurt spot. Several times I would take her to the Vet to have her euthanized i ws so sure she was suffering bad.... Near the end she was acting really funny and when i took her to the vet, she said that Halikea was totally blind. I couldn't believe it. Then one night...4 years ago(seems like it was yesterday) I came in from work and she was sitting in the chair and the pupils in her eyes looked like they were bleeding.......... I rushed her to the vet and they said she was definitely blind and her blood pressure was off the chart. Also they found a huge mass in her tummy. She had suffered so long so alll things cosidered I had her put to sleep. I really think  I lost my mind when it was over. I am alone... and have no real family, she was my family at home and if she could talk........ GIRLS........... she could write a book. I swear i saw shadows of her for weeks in my apartment. Someone said it was her spirit and it wasn't ready to go yet and i would have to tell  her it was alright. I about lost it that year..... and right away I got Ragsy..... It was hard to warm up to him .....even tho he is a most precious animal........ They are both so totally different. But they are the best best cats!

 

I do miss her but know she is in a better place and she is waiting for me.
