I really love this. If I had the funds I would definetly want one done by AP Indy.... All the horses help their fellow racers get good retirement homes.  HAHA!!!  You can bet noone dared to ask mean spirited John Henry to paint.  He would have dumped the paint bucket on the hooman's head....

Six female horses this year will join 24 male horses as featured artists in the annual Moneigh auction on eBay that benefits ReRun horse adoption program.

For this year’s auction, artist assistant, Mary Simons accepted the challenge of finding female artists for the auction that runs Nov. 23-Nov. 30. Moneighs are abstract, watercolor paintings created by horses, and trademarked by ReRun, used to raise funds for supporting the horses in its program.

Featured artists include: Zenyatta, Rags To Riches, Serena's Song, A.P. Indy, Cigar, Da Hoss, Daytona, Distorted Humor, Dynaformer, First Down Dash, Flying Pidgeon, Funny Cide, Gato Del Sol, Golden Doc A, Ipi Tombe, Kona Gold, Lawyer Ron, Leroidesanimaux, Lethal Heat, Marquetry, Medaglia D'Oro, Ruhlmann, Runaway Dancer, Sharp Humor, Sky Mesa, Thunder Puddles, Tiznow, Value Plus, Western Dreamer, and Will's Way.

Simons says, "This will be ReRun's largest and best auction, with a favorite for any racing fan. There are old favorites; up and coming stallions; Kentucky Derby and Breeder's Cup winners; artists from New York to California; even a Quarter Horse and a Standardbred champion. Some held the paintbrush such as Cigar, Kona Gold and Lawyer Ron. A.P. Indy, Funny Cide, Lawyer Ron, and Rags to Riches were the most enthusiastic to work with, but all of the artists were professional and cooperative."

You can get a mug for only $15 plus shipping.   Those horsies are about as good artists as the ellies.  I am astounded.

RIP....you go to Rerun...the home/shelter for old racehorses.   Every year great thouroughbreds give paintings that sell/auction to get monies to sponser their area.  It is a wonderful sight and believe me no TB is forced to paint.  They try to hand the brushes to the horses and some take them and paint while others would rather step in the paint and stomp on paper.....no coercion at all is involved.  The horses that want nothing to do with this venture still gets their treats of peppermints and carrots anyhoos.....
