I remember their first winter, with the ponds lightly frozen on top, that the Diva's were in there every day! Not only did they get a daily bath in the barn when the day began, but they would then go out and take a dip in the pond.
Did you know that circus elephants have had the hairs on their back lightly blow torched off to keep the young ladies (who rode them) from getting irritations????? I'm sure not a standard practice.....at least I'd like to think not.
