We need a hero and we need one fast. Could Big Brown be the chosen one? Good luck Big Brown as you take that journey into the history books. The world will be on your side today. Tale Of Ekati and Ready's Echo very possible board hits in the money somewhere......And Edgar Prado-will he pull his usual Belmont upset? Yikes...its almost time.. |

RACING ALERT!!!!!!!! CASINO DRIVE SCRATCHED!!!! EDGAR PRADO HAS NO MOUNT FOR THE BELMONT!!!! BIG NEWS!!!!! Casino was the hyped Japanese horse that was favoered as likely upset. Edgar is the upset jockey. With these two out of the picture Big Brown just might sail home today unless some racing God decides to break our hearts again... Very true sister. I like to win but as long as everyone makes it home ok I don't care if I won or lost. At the end of the day money is not important.... |

LOL!!! Nick Zito does it again. Yet what an empty victory as the one to beat came up really short. I really wanted to see the three crowns placed upon someone's head but am glad it was not this year. And am grateful that everyone made it back ok. And I always said I will not die until I see a triple crown winner so I guess I have another year to live... |

The ABC pictures of Big Brown throughout the race show him as looking really uncomfortable. I wonder what happened. I have a soft spot for Tale of Ekati (Tale of the Cat out of my beloved Storm Cat). Wish he could've won since it wasn't Big Brown's day. Speaking of Storm Cat: The listing of LEADING NORTH AMERICAN SIRES as of 6 June 2008 has Brown's daddy Boundry as number one, BUT the next three are Storm Cat babies Giant's Causeway (Heatseeker), Tale of the Cat (Tale of Ekati) and Stormy Atlantic (Quite A Bride). A.P. Indy (Little Belle) is number 7. And speaking or Belles, Eight Belles is still listed as #6 in Leading Horses with earnings of $664,000. |

Yo racing fans I did watch the Belmont but was sort of in the same mood as Big Brown, just not in the mood to run in this heat. I doubt there was anything wrong with him other than being too smart to run in 96 degree heat. I'm glad KD pulled him up, just in case. We don't need another tragic TC race. Sigh. Secretariat was my true love and looks like he will be for a long, long time... Did I hear talk of a match race with Curlin'? I hope not! Those races are jinxed! Pronker |

Exactly DF. If they run in a real race with other competition then k. But match races always make me cringe. The only hyped one that ever came out ok was War Admiral and Seabiscuit. |

I agree completely, Pronker. What creature in their right mind would run in 98*/98% humidity? I hate the word Match Race and there is never a time or reason for them. I think they meant both of them meeting in the Breeders Cup Classic in October. But what with Santa Anita having such trouble with their new surface, i don't like even the thought of the Breeders Cup there this year!!! |
