In Loving Memory of Flower (March 13, 2000 - January 27, 2007)
This poem is Loving dedicated
This day our hearts were sadden
by some news
we didn't want to hear
The loss of our sweet Flower
our precious little dear
a lady who stood
tall and proud
a lady who kept her family
safe and sound
The coming days won't seem right
Zaphod won't have his Flower
to cuddle up to
at night
A large family of meerkats she raised
must continue on
knowing that their dear mother
is now gone
We will never forget this matriarch
who's leadership was strong
who wanted to do right
and not do any wrong
Right from the start
and from the moment we first saw you
we all fell in love
This we know is true
Our eyes are now filled with tears
as we've cried and cried
it is hard for us
to say goodbye
Do Dear Flower
may you rest in peace
our missing you
will never cease
We hoped this day
would not be seen
when we would have to say goodbye

My Ode for you
After watching Meerkat Manor
for almost a year
we heard some news
we didn't want to hear
Flower whom we all loved
whose life we hoped
would go on
is sadly now gone
As a leader
she was good
she was the dominant female
this was understood
A time to die for humans
is an appointed day
maybe for animals
it's the same way
To have known Flower
we are so glad
to lose her
makes our hearts sad
Let us remember
alll the good things she did
like raising those
adorable little kids
The Whiskers couldn't have had
a leader much better
Flower was true
in person, I wish I could have met her
It feels like we lost
a lifetime friend
and never wanted
to see her life end

Remember Flower with love
and May God watch over you
from heaven above
