As if I needed another reason to cry in a sappy way.  I remember after my Mandy died.  The DM and I couldn't stand coming home to an empty, quiet house.  We got the Petester about 7 weeks later.  He was born 3 days after Mandy died.  That's why I have 2 furkids right now and will get a third one within a year.  I think the remaining furkids have just as hard a time adjusting to death.

My friend, Mary, the one I did the border collie quilt for, has a potential candidate.  He's a red merle Australian shepherd.  He looks pretty funny right now since he has literally no hair on his back end.  I can tell he'll be gorgeous once he grows his hair back, though.
