As hinted-new thread!  There you go.

Petrobank CEO speaking at an energy conference in New York today was quoted as responding to a question about partnering their THAI process with companies in Saskatchewan oilsands.  He said he big hopes to do partnerships in Saskatchewan oilsands.  There is only one oilsand company with any bitumen supplies in that province!

Bear Sterns problems reall screwed up the BQI ticker today.  Early this morning it was looking like they would destroy $4.30.  Now its down.

Well things have been slow at BQI of decreasing oil prices, so there has been little comment since it came out after market close.  many folks doing dinner and closed shop for the day.

Guess I can play the devils advocate here and look at it negatively assuming he could have planned it this way all along?  He does not give a start for Site 1 testing-its dependent on results from site 3 in progress. Therefore he can't!

The 25 holes language may have been pushed back a little but still in the plan for this month-This is the time serious drilling occurs in the boreal forest anyway-when its frozen?

Vague-hard to tell if its really new info?  Guess we will find out in the next few days.  Hopkins is reporting more activity than last November when he put many things on the shelf!  Is it pumping to get in the news??????

Got a nice block of shares bought at $0.80.  My target for selling these is $1.20.  Don't know if this one will get there?

Sold for $1.25!  Nice trading profit-somebody wanted my shares badly-LOL

My next block of shares was bought at $1.20!  Will I get a chance to trade them down the road?

I currently have 12,000 shares.  I meant business-I am trading in 2009!  No more hold and sleep!

Sheeettt!  Its breaching $1.30.  Did not expect that!  Is 1.50 the next resistence?

Something more is coming than what was reported yesterday!  News trumps technicals or fundamentals sometimes.  Surprising given the pattern in oil pricing!

Would not be surprised if this does 2-3X in volume before the day is over?!

BQI:  Well thats an energy three days up in a row when the markets are down, the news is bad and oil prices are dropping for these companies across the board?????  Other oil tickers have gotten crushed again???  Glad I dumped some SU!

Not quite sure if this is being pumped to be dumped back down or if it really has good material news coming next week?  Presenting at a meeting, the MC Daniels report?

Anyway I did a trade this week so if its a pump and dump, I cashed in some profit!  I await next week for my answer!  not like i am short on shares to play with!

Good article on the status of oilsands given oil pricing currently!  Discusses mining it versus SAGD, pricing costs, industry consolidation!

BQI is pretty positioned as a future SAGD type company with obvious large reserves of bitumen.

Summary:

BQI to present at an oilsands conference today and next week in London.  See if there is anything new?

Still waiting for the Mc Daniels independent intricate assessment of BQI reserves due anytime.  said it would be ready by 12/31/08!

Drilling in Ravens Ridge discovery initiated to characterize better what they have per seismic indications-25 holes to drill in section of their second discovery zone that seismic indicates has the most bitumen.!

Pilot testing continuing at site 1 and scheduled to be ramped up for site 3-no date given yet.  Need data from site 1.  Timeline still unknown.

BQI up 40% in the last week-oil down 20%.

California hedgefund Alethia owns 36.8 million shares.  Keep incrementially adding.

Short interest down for several straight reporting periods.  Approximately 30%.

Changing SEC rules (final) on calculating oilsands as oil resources will initiate next year (helps especially the larger companies who need to expand their reserves in a state oil increasing world).  To me, this makes biumen inventory a larger importance to larger entities in a SAGD environment (which lessens environmental arguments).  I look for consolidation during 2009 in the oilsands patch.

PBG.TO and their donut hole in BQI lands and their combustion procedure THAI/CAPRI) for extraction and heavy oil upgrading all at once and their seismic program in the donut hole lands Southeast of BQI Axe lake discovery!????

In spite of oil pricing and BQI current PPS-this has lots of potential good stuff coming!

Expect Obama (US) and Harper (Canada) to meet soon after the inauguration.  Usually is the first formal foreign meeting for a new president. Energy, oil, oilsands, environmental issues will surely be on their agenda!

Facts are oilsands production to the US is ratcheting up-we can't afford to blow them off-would love to see agreements on the trade, production, and environmental issues within oilsands development.  get on the same page before China and India really horn in!

Alternative view of BQI posted in the interest of listing all sides!  One can come to their own conclusion!

Now I can personally blow about 7-8 holes in this link in this report wider than truck!

Interesting that Hopkins presentation next week is in London hosted by the puveyors of (you know it) this assessment authors.

So whats their goal in putting out this analysis in advance of actually listening to Hopkins before analyzing?  Maybe Hopkins should not bother speaking at the TD forum in the future?

Been watchin' this one since it broke the 50 DMA last week but wasn't too crazy about it's lack of conviction to forge ahead. Looks like it was a bear trap after all.

I may wet my beak for a quick in and out after the dust settles.... looking for support round .66¢....

I'd buy some more BQI  trading shares at that price too! We may see it in this market?  BQI needs to be cautious with the money they have like every other junior energy company.  They say they can survive until 2010 if they have to until pricing returns and credit frees up.  Currently they are debt free!

I've about caught all my falling knives here.  Loaded!  Oil ain't going to stay at these prices.  Serious demand destruction is a myth!

Exploration, development, and the Saudis will die-they won't let that happen!  THEY ARE THE REAL CONTROLLERS OF THE GAME.  With their production they can change this oil game in a heartbeat without breaking a sweat.

MY BEST TO YOUR GIRLS BEAR!
