Might as well gives this one it's own thread.    Let's give legendary Oil baron, T. Boone Pickens his just due since he holds a big stake in both the Canadian Oil Sands Trust [TSX:COS.UN] and Suncor Energy [TSX:SU].

If this continues, looks like I may be buying the shares (COP/SU) I bought last week, then sold this week; right back next week!  Channeling Kutz!

Man look at the price for PBG.TO!  It doesn't pay to bring out good news right now-it doesn't pay to bring out any news!

Great news plastered throughout the reporting and the ticker keeps going down!

In the heavy oil section of this report it mentions that they have run 35 kilometers of 2D seismic on their oilsand lands at Suttons Creek.  FYI thats the "donut hole" land they own that is surrounded by BQI.  Totally landlocked and to the SE of BQI current pilot testing set-up we should soon hear about the beginning of the test from BQI.

Oil pricing is totally assinine at this price as it was at $145.00.  Oil prices need to go back up or "drill baby drill" will have to be changed to "nap baby nap".  This move in oil has rendered the entire energy argument during the election cycle totally useless.  Oil will not explore much at these prices-Period!

Whats happening is great at the pump for now-later we are really going to pay badly!

At every level this market refuses to find a moderate tone.  Been going on for a year!

Picked up 100 shares of each after the open:  PBG.TO, CNQ, ECA, and SU.   The last two are add-ons.

You know me-I like Canada!  Great prices per the charts!  Oil is at or near a bottom, Oil and gas numbers out this week are little different from last year (demand destruction models are over played). OPEC will likely cut production again before the end of the month.  These have been beat up enough!

Still looking at COP and UNG again.

I'll wait as long as necessary (days, weeks, months)  Read the IEA report out!  Peak oil baby!  Our problem is masked by a tough economic environment-even that won't begin to fix the problem.  We don't have enough mid term or long term!  Enjoy whilst it lasts.

PBG.TO doing well for me.  the others are down-the jury is still out.

The stolen tanker/pirate situation is perplexing to me.  Instead of chasing pirates with big warships, why don't they just put a few crack teams on the ships-cruise by and when the pirates come a calling, just blow them out of the water and send a distinct message of reverse fear?

Oh well!  Not nice to piss the Saudis off!

PBG.TO:  Well this deal gives me a better idea of the "cheese" this company wants to use the THAI method.  Maybe this is too cost prohibitive for BQI?

This is small potatoes though!  BQI holdings and resource dwarfs this and the thickness is 10 meters (thin) compared to BQI resource.  Still it shows the THAI is applicable, being used, and works!.

May be contributing to ECA's down day when others like COP, CNQ, and SU are up?

Dumped 100 shares of SU-made $450.00.  Still own 100 underwater currently.

Again given the opportunity, I'll buy back in!

Five january sells for profit!  Finger on the trigger and ask questions later!

Got knocked out of UNG-took my first loss in an individual ticker this year.  Little over 2100.00 back to cash.

Now appears not to be a good time for natural gas.  Lost less than $350.00.  Maybe another time.

See the attached table from your honorable US government on oil consumption stats in the world for 2008.  After reviewing it, I would like to have someone tell me WHERE THE HELL IS ALL THIS DEMAND DESTRUCTION I KEEP HEARING ON CNBC AND FROM EVERY ANALYST OUT THERE????????  I never trusted the talk much anyway!

Throw in recent diclosures that the US and China will add millions of barrels of oil to their strategic reserves "at these reasonable prices", the OPEC cuts in production, the Saudis cutting further and  all I see is A BIG CON JOB on the way down just like it was on the way up!  At the same time oil projects are being cancelled, postponed, or stretched out everywhere!

We are in for a world of hurt when this turns and you better consider energy tickers when it does!  When are markets going to clean up their acts.

This is our own tabulated US statistics!

The contents of this should be considered very seriously by Americans-doubt it will.  Canada will set up markets with Asia and we will be left out!

Harper/Obama-soon must meet and come to agreement-we need to smarten up!  Real fast!  We can still do wind and solar farms but we still will  be trapped by oil needs for 20-30 years!

Watching SU for a buy and initiation of another trade.  Needs to go lower!  Oil prices low-tougher to make money off it currently for SU.  Down in pre-market?  Looks like they got saved by their hedging.

Also know that ECA did some hedging on their gas plays which of course currently the price of NG is in the toilet. May cause them to have an earning surprise?  Got this per a weekend BNN report video.

I am also watching PBG.TO again for another trade, but I would not pull the trigger unless it dropped at least below $20.00.

Riding the oil pricing trough-looking to add?  Oil futures reflect where this commodity will be going IMO-just won't be immediate!

We will see!

Is oil 40 cents a barrel yet-LOL  What a totally useless day!  All banking CEOs should be chased by their own individual "Orkin" man!

Until tomorrow!
