Hello gang!

ACUS is a MA "bio stock" that I invest in.  Some here have seen me defend this stock on another board with a very unsavory character.  This company has a resin sphere that encases a gas.  The spheres are about one-third the size of a red-blood cell.

The spheres can be injected into the blood and aid in the diagnosis of clogged arteries.  They are used with "echo" (ultrasound).  Currently patients with signs of clogged arteries generally are tested using nuclear imaging and angiograms and only if they have symptoms. Millions of these tests are done per year. Millions more are not because of the cost and lack of symptoms (screening).  These current tests are lengthy, expensive, and the equipment is found only at certain locations.  Not to mention using radioactive tracers.

The gas in the spheres allow use of "echo" to measure both blood flow and wall motion in the heart.  This gives a potential better diagnosis. This is being tested against imaging and angiograms.

It is a potential big advance in diagnosis of cardiac problems.  ACUS has completed enrollment in their Phase III trials (2) (called RAMP I and II).  The first was reported earlier this summer.  They missed on a testing parameter (sensitivity) and the market pummeled them.  The science results were really good though (accuracy more important).  Then the company reported a potential delay in reporting the second study and they got pummeled again.  The market did not understand the heavy analysis that it takes to put together the large amount of data generated (combining studies).

I bought at 3.62 and then at 2.40.  It is now back to about 3.40.  It has been creeping upward.  Between the institutions and the insiders, they own 90% of this stock.  They have been adding to their positions, not getting out.  Analysts say possible 8.00-12.00 stock with good results.  There are competitors out there, but all with problems.

ACUS is preparing their manufacturing facility, have a partnership with a European company for support, and have licensed some technology from other companies that could have been patent problems.

My opinion is that this stock will continue to creep upward for the next 2-3 of months in anticipation of the next trial results.  Then they will report.  If they are good, the stock could really take off.  If they are bad, it could be a giant setback.  It is about crunch time for this company!  Odds are better for this company than other bios.  Still very risky!  Its a risk I am taking!  Check it out-wonderful science!  Amazing stuff!

Could be invested in for the creep up in price or the potential pop.  I'm watching closely.  Let me know if anyone wishes to hear more.

Had a nice talk with JK today. We agreed on almost everything, not that that does us much good . The future of this little company is dimly lit! As you have said many times "The ball is in somebody else's court" or something like that! In the back of my mind the Acusphere/ Frank/Cephalon connection still gives me hope that Baldino will be extra careful not to appear suspicious in the way he rapes us! I'm not familiar with other situations where a person has used one company to steal another when he is on the BOD of both! Interesting concept...
Sounds like you said "bye" to the yahoo board.

Al:  JK is a nice guy with lots of money.  little too military for me-but he knows how to make money!  I suspect he is cured of drug investing!---LOL.  its not easy at all!

Not saying bye to them at Yahoo ACUS!  Just that its time to phase into other stuff and limit my time there. I said if I lost I would be grumpy, but be fine.  If I post there endlessly I'll just be grumpy for too long!

Work to do-new tickers to explore!  Reality reveals others will be phasing out too over time from that board!  got to live in the real world and close doors and turn pages!

I've got to make money back! i'll still check in until if/when it becomes unecessary!

Strange to me-I don't know-this company appears to be dead in the water.  Delisted, running out of money, almost assuredly of getting a do more studies FDA decision in late february,  and yet some instiutions were buying some late last week.  Maybe a quick trade?

????????

Would be nice to be able to get up-to-the-minute info on institutional activity. I seem to remember a link between Nordea and Nycomed??? Wish someone would say something- I'm still holding as it's just not worth it to sell at this point!
That JACC article was badly timed or missunderstood by me!!!
Make alot of money, stay happy and healthy-

Heh Al:  The Nordea/Nycomed link is they are both from Scandanvian companies.  But one is an investment company and the other an integrated EU pharmaceutical company.

I agree-dumping out instiutional activity once a quarter is like trying to pour fire in a volcano!  Just not worth the effort to find out after the fact who is in or out at some point when they are in and out constantly at levels they are not required to report!

Its just one more "opportunity for improvement" in creating a fair trading field in the general market!  Doubt there will be any change anytime soon!

I still hold some shares here too, but it is unlikely to mean anything.  Not worth the sell-might as well wait on FDA decision content and what CEPH will do?

Live long and prosper!

I meant that Nordea also has an investment in Nycomed- (I think)

Have you RAZF guys figured out where you're going when this closes?

Kutz-
Maybe that MFFAIS site is more up-to-date than I thought.
They just posted that Nordea sold all 450k on the 13th. Probably can't hold any companies on the OTCBB? Or maybe Nycomed is going to do something nasty? Couldn't hurt much now!
My wife is a self-professed  prophet  and she says that "The United States Of America, as we know it, will soon be gone forever!" (she also agreed with me last year that acus was going to shoot the moon!)  Somebody said that when the people realize that they can vote themselves money democracy is doomed!

Hold a tight rein in this crazy market-

You can bet Nordea made some inquiries to Nycomed! I bet they told them this ain't looking good! They dumped-not rocket science.

As I stated before Christmas, I would be surprised if Nycomed even bothers to submit in the EU-they are certainly waiting for the content of the expected FDA requirements to spit out!  This is why they did not submit in the 15 months since they received data!  The pediatric excuse was just that-cover-an excuse!

My only satisfaction will be knowing Nycomed won't get anything important out of this for years!  They were a bad-rude partner who originally pimped ACUS and our PPS and aided in driving it to CEPH.  Now the torch has been passed to CEPH!  They are waiting for the FDA requirements.  Then they will decide to either take this forward or dump it all off?

ACUS-stick a fork in it!  it has about 6 weeks until the FDA sticks their sword in it!  Sherrie will suck the funds dry!  The company is dead, Sherrie is dead, ECHO/Imagify is dead for at least 2-3 years even though its at least as safe and eficacious as Definity/Optison IMO!  Thats life!

Just what Nuclear Imaging players wanted all along-all facilitated and aided by the FDA!

Wish it was different-it is what it is!

The US will be OK after a very hard few years!  Hit the links for me-its too damn cold to golf here for the next few days!  At least we have no snow or ice.

Al-one more ACUS thought in retrospect relating to what I have said multiple times on Yahoo over 15 months.

Take the current position of ACUS, my 50/50 scenario for success, and replace it with a dilution with 25 million shares at $2.50 or using Azimuth when they had the chance way back prior to Ramp 2 results.  Now many within those boards would have screamed to high heaven, but we would not be where we are today!  They would have 75-80 million shares outstanding (not the end of the world in todays baby bio public companies) and the resiliency to continue on in this environment and get to smotther waters!

Then ACUS would be facing maybe more work, with approximately 50 million to do so, No CEPH, Nycomed on the sidelines, the low PPS would not matter so much, and the process would have continued independently.  Could argue the PPS would have been higher in 2H 2008 and the news coming out would have changed the dynamics of the PPS moves!

In the end the blame falls on Sherrie as CEO.  This was the ultimate mistake for educational purposes in bio investing!  She did not follow the "holy grail of baby bios"!  Said several times!

"Keep yourself funded 12-15 months in advance"!  The rest of the BS here are excuses, politics, changing FDA paradigms, and multiple bad breaks (credit environment in 2H 2008)!

She rolled the dice with our cash, and this technology and her endless innuendo on partnerships-GAME OVER!  STICK A FORK IN IT.  She is a loser.

Best thing to happen here will be CEPH to buy it and a little run up in current PPS to get out-worst case scenario=0.00!  With what I got left-I am prepared for either eventuality!  Close the dooor-turn the page.

No Vegas for us!

Al:  Oh well Cazador finally got his wish---LOL!  Nice analogy-this would have been more helpful coming out in November!  Pretty useless now and another monument of idiocy to Sherrie Oberg-the witch does not know how to time PR to even pump her own ticker.  If she would have submitted it earlier, it would have come out earlier!  God knows there was enough time!

If you were at the ACUS/FDA advisory meeting like I was, you would have thought Imagify was Mercury poision!  The FDA hosed this just that bad!

Now its work is in the most respected journal on Echo in the EU and the FDA will argue over clumping particles (do not exist-all negatively charged) and whether a efficacy study needs to be done to compare ECHO vs Echo/Imagify when the FDA never told them to do it, it not in their developmental guidence document, and its just plain stupid when you know you can not use Echo alone and get perfusion data-just wall motion!  How many tests must one do to verify common sense!  they created adverse event syndromes out of clear cut events that occur in patients using NUKE and occur even without Imagify administration in some patients.

The FDA is broken and theey BLOW-do not play them with your cash until they are reformed and that means throwing the entire entitlement crowd running the joint.

Until then, don't have a cardiac event or they will be giving you that radioactive material that must be safe for ya over particles with encased inert gas!

What a waste of medical science and money as US citizens pay billions more for NUKE procedures over the next couple-three years.  No wonder America is where it is-especially in healthcare!

Doubt this will do anything to its ground dragging PPS!?  Stick a fork in it!
