Bergamot - refreshing and uplifting without being stimulating; combats depression, eases tension. Do not apply to skin that will be exposed to sun, as this oil promotes sunburn.

Blue Chamomile - muscle relaxant, soothing agent, skin conditioner, used in massage oils and herbal mixtures.

Cedarwood - eases aches and pains, helps to clear the breathing passages.

Clary Sage: very relaxing; somewhat sedative; promotes feelings of happiness; encourages dreaming. Best used at night since it can make you feel drowsy. Avoid using when drinking alcohol.

Eucalyptus - antiseptic, aids breathing, decongestant, relieves pain, repels mosquitoes.

Frankincense - slows down breathing and controls tension, helps to focus the mind.

Geranium - balances female energy; helpful for anxiety and stress relief, an anti-depressant; balances female hormones; wonderful for skin care, menopause, pms and uplifting.

Ginger - Warming to both body and mind.  Helpful for muscular aches and pains, arthritis, rheumatism, colds, chills, and poor circulation.  Known to be good for nervous tension and anxiety.  Warning: Avoid in pregnancy and with sensitive skin.

Juniper - antiseptic, mild diuretic, detoxifies, helps eliminate lactic acid from muscle.

Lavender - relieves pain, relaxes spasms, calms, promotes sleep, is antiseptic, helps tone muscle.

Lemon - Improves concentration, energizes, reduces anxiety, relieves stress, an anti-depressant, fights germs and bacteria, disinfectant, very refreshing.

Marjoram -  Relieve the miseries of the common cold, including congestion and muscle aches and pains, and is also comforting in times of stress.  Regulate the nervous system and treat insomnia. 

Niaouli - strengthens the immune system, activates defenses and augments leukocytes and antibodies.  Niaouli has antispasmodic and analgesic effects.

Orange - brightens dull complexions, encourages sleep, lifts spirits, calms nerves. Warning: Do not use on skin or in baths 12 hours before sun or sunlamp exposure.

Patchouli - soothes and uplifts the spirit, anti-inflammatory agent, antiseptic, astringent.

Peppermint - Useful for inflammation, nausea, indigestion, fevers, flatulence, headaches, migraine, liver problems and arthritis. It is stimulating to the nervous system, cooling to the body for fevers or in hot weather.  Warning: Avoid in first trimester of pregnancy and when using homeopathic remedies.

Petitgrain - uplifting without being stimulating; refreshing; reduces anxiety.

Ravensara - used for clearing the sinus and breathing passages, loosening tight muscles, relieving menstrual discomfort and aches and pains.

Roman Chamomile - relaxing and calming; muscle relaxant; soothes nerve, headache, insomnia, menstrual disorders.

Rose Otto - Warm, intense, immensely rich fragrance.  Cooling, Balancing, Calming, Toning.  Warning: Avoid using during the first four months of pregnancy.

Rosemary - Energizing, stimulating, great for jet lag, headache, stimulates circulation, very helpful for mental concentration and memory.  Warning: Avoid when pregnant, prone to epileptic seizures or high blood pressure.

Tangerine - sweet tangy aroma, usually used as an astringent. Warning: Avoid use in the sun.

Ylang Ylang - calms body and mind, releases anger, reduces anxiety, aphrodisiac.

Grapefruit - energizing and helps to elevate the spirits, can help with nervous exhaustion. it relieves congested and oily skin, having a toning effect on both skin and tissues.

Rose - soothing, tones, cleanses, uplifts the spirit and helps maintain self confidence  Warning: Avoid using during the forst four months of pregnancy.

Sandalwood - uplifting and relaxing, traditionally burnt as an aid for meditation, excellent skincare oil.

Sweet Marjoram - Relieve the miseries of the common cold, including congestion and muscle aches and pains, and is also comforting in times of stress.  Regulate the nervous system and treat insomnia.

Tea Tree - antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, stimulates the immune system, induces sweating.

Vetiver - deeply relaxing, soothing oil for the mind and body,  assists in reducing blood pressure.
