Tragedy, In Our Back Yard As a member of the Presidential Prayer Team, I got this notice and request in my mailbox today. The tragedy of a cruel individual again touched us so closely today. We need to pull together as a nation and as a family to ever guard one other that we can get our nation back to the beliefs upon which we were founded. It is the abandonment of the very reason for our proclamation of our independence and freedom that leads us to these tragedies. We must pull together now, as one voice, and speak loud enough to be heard, to retrieve what this nation has been eliminating, one value at a time. The following is an excerpt of the story of todays Virginia Tech events: "Today, tragedy struck as a gunman opened fire on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. The violence left 33 dead and an atmosphere of chaos on the campus. This is the worst shooting in the history of our nation. We do not know what compelled this tragedy, but we do know that we can pray. President Bush addressed the nation, saying he and Mrs. Bush are praying for the victims?families and acknowledging the deep wound this cuts into the life of our nation. “Our nation grieves with those who have lost loved ones. We hold them up in our prayers.?/FONT> At 1:30 PM {EST} RSD Support From Ones Who Care will observe 5 minutes of silence in reverence for the victims and their families involved in this tragedy. There will be no messages posted and no chat messages posted. Please respect that time. Take time to light a candle for these families and victims as there is much suffering and recovery will be difficult. Love, Gayle html & assembled by Butterfly ribbon tile by SKPAWPRINTZ
