Hello my name is Summer, I am the founder of this group. I am so very pleased to welcome you to the group. Normalee is the Manager of the group and is very knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate. Melissa and Ed are our Assistant Managers, and have truly been blessings to both Normalee and myself.

It is an exciting day for us when we can open our hearts and arms in an embrace to a new member. On the left hand column, you will see the menu, please make yourself at home, and feel free to browse each of the different items. The General Message board is there to post messages to the group. There are managers?mailboxes in the Post Office as well as individual group member mailboxes to post messages directly to the managers and members. Within a few days you too will have your own mailbox that Melissa will set up for you, so if you have a preference for colors or pictures or even a mailbox you would like, send a note to her mailbox and she will be happy to set it up for you.

The Medical Information Library boards, which have medical and newsworthy information are for your perusal. Please ask if you have any questions, either on the General Message board or in the managers?mailboxes. We usually hold regular chats and the schedule is listed on the chat pages, as well as special requested chats. To ask someone to meet you in the chat room just post a message on the General Message and title it -Meet me in Chat- or something like that and whoever else is on the boards will see if and join you if they can. I am often times online during the day and later evening and can usually join if I am on. Normalee and I host special chat sessions when requested and if she is unable to do it I will fill in if I am available. I also am available for one-on-one chat sessions scheduled in advance for members who are in need. To request one of these chats you must submit a request on the Request Board link. The normal time to wait for someone in an open chat to join you is about 20-30 minutes since we have to allow for dial-up connection speeds. You can always connect to the chat room and 'float' the window and open a second window to browse.

You are always welcome to join the regular chats and that schedule is posted on the Chat Room page. To enter the chat room you will need to register for your password through the Chat Room Registration page. Participation in chat is considered activity on the site for the rules guidelines for posting requirements. A quick 'hello', 'how are you' or 'just checking in' also constitutes participation. Should you come across information that you feel is pertinent, please submit it to mine or Normalee's managers mailbox in our Post Office and we will see that it gets posted to the correct board.

I know this is a lot of information to digest right now but don't worry if you don't remember all of it, just feel free to ask as many questions as you need anyone will help you, we don't mind questions at all. We just want your experience to be pleasant and helpful and we are all friendly. We are welcoming you to our family.

We operate on a "Moderated Posting Policy" which means that no post makes it to a message board without being approved by a member of the management team. The first several posts you put in may take a little while to go through the queue, this does bedome faster. When you post you will see a pop-up informing you that we employ the moderated posting method. Do not be alarmed, everyone sees it. Your post will go through the approval queue and get on to the board. All messages are subject to removal from the boards if they do not meet site standards. When you applied for membership you automatically agreed to this via checking the MSN COC box. Please read the rules and Code of Conduct and sign the list (do this just as you would reply to a post) within 48 hours of becoming a member. After you do that, I invite you to introduce yourself to us on the "Who Am I" board so we can get to know a bit more about you which will enable us to gear our information search to your needs. We are a very close group and most of us here are on a first name basis. Since you have been accepted you are not just a member of a "group" but part of our family!

Each of us extend a very warm welcome you.

Again, it is an honor to have you a"Board"!

" mistic1968"!

Love, Summer!

Hi Misty, I am Normalee the other Manager. Its really nice to have you here.

I just read your Introduction. I am a little slow tonight. I was admiring our new kitchen and got so involved with hanging the curtains and pictures I forgot to check my messages! We just had a skylight and some remodeling done and we are just putting the finishing touches on the rooms now. My daughter Melissa is one of the assistants here. She is full time at the university and works after her classes are done so she gets home very late.

I take the late, late shift from Summer when she starts her playing with graphics stuff. So you're a newbie to RSD. Isnt it great fun???!!! What a miserable thing to have to deal with isnt it. Its nice that you are able to continue working, it helps that you can still feel useful in spite of the condition. Too many times the RSD can make us feel so bad that if we dont have an outlet the depression can make us feel even worse. It sounds like you have a great support system, that is wonderful! Its so important. Did you have a accident that caused the RSD or what happened? I have a multitude of conditions and RSD was one of the later ones that topped off the list. I am in some pretty torturing PT right now to get use back in my arms and hands after 11 years of very limited use. Its getting better as I am beginning to be able to brush my own hair much better than a month ago. Its still rough but lots better. Have a long way to go but theres progress. I use a voice to text program for computer work and have a live in aide and my daughter for assistance.

Welcome to our group and if we can be of assistance for finding things for you just let us know. I look forward to chatting with you in the near future. If you want to meet in the chat room ever just post a message on the boards and let me know!

Hugz, Normalee
