Hi Jeanette,

MSN groups will be closing in February 2009.  So we are all moving our group to a new location.

Normalee and me have been getting all of our files and moving them to a safe location and setting up a new home site over the past month.  There is a lot of stuff that we have that we can't replace so it's important to pull that material off and store it on our hard drive so we won't have to pay to download it again.

There is a service, Multiply that will migrate our group into it but the setup is frumpy and ugly and hard to maneuver so we have decided not to go there.  I have already had a site setup that I've been using to promote this group since it's inception a couple of years ago so that will become our new home and along with it I will incorporate a message board.  Our private chat room will easily move with us since it is not on the group server because it is a private server off the MSN groups, that I pay for you guys.  I do not store anything but our posts on the groups storage so none of that I have to transfer and will stay in place when we move.  That makes our move one of the easier ones.

My only problem will be a few of our members email addresses that were lost in MSN's last update.  I am missing about 15 they lost on the email upgrade several months ago.  I will move everyone's email that I have and post a list of those members I do not have an email address for.  When the move takes place, you will all get the link to go to and simply change your password to one you can remember and that will be our new message boards.  There will be a new way to apply to our group which I already have set up and in working order.  The moderated posting method is also already set to go just as it is here.  All that is left really is moving our library.

There will (hopefully) not be any glitches that make us lose contact because I will make sure to have the addresses posted before this group is closed so we will still have contact.  It is going to be hard to break our groups up when we have had several memberships all in one handy location.  Many groups have jumped ship completely already and just closed down.  Others have gone to Google groups, Aimoo, Yuku,  Synthasite, Multiply, and other forums or like me, turned to private domain names and are just paying for ther own server.

Our new home site is address for a quick look is: www.pain-and-depression.com  it's not ready for posting yet, sort of rough draft, and it still needs the rest of the pages that I am working on off the web on my laptop program and the links are not accurate, but you can grab a quick glance at it if you want.

Take care and if you need to talk anytime you can email me your number HERE and I will call you.

Love, Summer

Found the new sight but I could not get the post office to work. Do we need to sign up again or will you and Natalee get us over there eventually? One other question is about our toolbar, is it going to work or will you all have to rework that as well. I'll check back in a couple of days, miss you guys.
Jeanette

Hi Jeanette,

Great to hear from you!  We do not have the post office working yet.  I am also working on rebuilding the toolbar, all I will need to do for that is reset the links but they will all be new so I have to have all the pages set up to do that.

We are about ready to start posting over there.  I am finishing up the pages now.  Once Normalee and I get the pages up we will send you all your temporary password for that group site and you can change it to one you can remember once you go over there!

By the weekend we should be moving in!

The new address is:

and the message board is:

I have all the memberships moved already so you won't be able to register because your email address has already been used.  Bear with us these last few days and you will be getting an email with your password that you can change.

Love you dear!

Summer
