Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a nice thanksgiving. We are out of town and on our way home last night DH got into an accident. The front end of my car is smashed up, the radiator and stuff was steaming all over the place. The headlights are broken and my bumper and front grill are totally messed up. Instead of driving really slow through the deer running area that is especially dangerous this time of year he was speeding along like his usual and hit a very large deer at 50 mph. he didn't have time to stop after I yelled look out when I saw the deer bolt out of the woods and he hit him head on and it was a full body hit.
I sprained my ankle because I slammed on the brake but I wasn't driving and my foot hit the floorboards pretty bad. Since we bought my car we have been arguing over whether he needs to tie down my wheelchair inside and I have to do it myself because he says it doesn't matter, well if he would have hit that with the chair not tied down it would have smashed through the front seats. So maybe he learned that it really does matter as it still twisted around on impact but because of the tie downs it didn't fly all the way to the front seat.
So I supposed now my car will sit where ever it got towed to and I will be without a car waiting for him to bother with it. I am at my mom's now 4 hours away from home and no car. My mother won't take me home as she won't drive outside the county. So I am going to have to figure a way home because I am certainly not prepared to stick around here waiting on him to get my car fixed and I don't have enough medications or anything for more than one night we planned on staying. My cat is home alone and nobody has a key to get in and care for her. She tolerates one night but when it gets to the second night she is a nervous wreck. So I don't know whats going to happen and of course I cannot get to sleep here as I am stil shaking.
I rarely ride ewith him as he has fallen asleep several times while driving and will not stop and let me drive at all so I stopped going with him when he is driving and usually drive myself but as sick as I have been I didn't have the strength to drive home yesterday. That is why he was driving even though it's against my better judgement, I just don't have the strength to do much anymore and it's such a long drive.
But I wanted to update you all that I am stranded and cannot do too much without all my group stuff here. Normalee is doing what she can and things are moving even if they are slow. I have been really sick for the last 10 days and am barely able to be online for an hour. But in the next few weeks we will be moving over there as we have the message boards pretty much up and ready for use. We have all our information saved elsewhere and will continue to update the new boards even after we transfer over there.
I will talk to you all very soon to update you on the condition of my car since it was pretty dark and couldn't get a good look at the engine damage. So take care and I miss chatting with you all. I am on a very slow dial up connection here and cannot do much at all as far as group stuff as most files take far too long to transfer on this connection.
