It is not fun with a mom with Lupus. She sometimes cries because she is hurting and I can't do anything to stop the pain. I feel helpless. But when I grow up I am going to be a doctor and I am going to find a cure for it. I am homeschooled and sometimes when I am bored with my classwork, I look at momma and say to myself, "Do your work so you get smarter and can go to college so you can find a cure for mom."
But there is a good side too. She sits and plays games on days she can get around good. She teaches me to cook and I get lots of practice to help her out. She has also taught me to knit and I use her stuff because she can't anymore.
She can't go outside much because the sunlight causes flares, but we get through. I have to be a big help, but momma believes I can do it. The important thing is I love her very much. NO ONE could take her place.
peace out,
KJ
