Peeling Oranges

To peel oranges quickly cover with hot boiling water and allow to stand 6-7 minutes, then refrigerate for a few minutes. The skins will come offvery easily. This will also increase the amount of JUICE you will be ablle to get from your orange. Use a sharp thin-bladed small knife. Cut a small section off top AND bottom of orange. LAY FLAT ON ONE OF THESE CUTS. Gently CUT THE SKIN OFF, TOP TO BOTTOM, TURNING FRUIT AS NEEDED. Make small cuts and easy movements.

SAVE THE PEELS FOR EASY ROOM REFRESHING. Add them to hot water in a small pan on the stove top. Allow to boil, adding enough water and skins for a nice slow boil for about 15 minutes. Allow to stand for hours. Pour the water in your garbage dispoal, cut the skins small and run through the dispoal also. THIS WORK'S FOR ALL CITRUS FRUIT'S.
