Pop in to check on Miss Mavis, the cat.
I told the girls I didn't care if they wanted to watch a movie here, but, they understand our rules upon all this..
----------------
There is plenty of frozen pizza, frozen goodies, ice cream, and pop..
They know I'll call the parents to check-in...
Not their cell phone's.. I just get THEM, then...
I'll call the parents..
Hmm...
Plus, all our neighbor's know we'll be away..
They also know the kids are allowed to stick around until 11:00pm..
Miss Hannah knows this also...
--------------
It does take a neighborhood to raise a child!

Very simple:
I do all this in the same roaster.
All in the oven.
You can fry the meat stuff , then add to a baking dish, you can do all this in the mircowave, or on the stove top ...
An electric fry pan will work or even a crock-pot, if you plabn for at least 9 hours of cook time.
-----------------------

Be careful.. You'll need a bigger pan before you know it... Tee hee..
----------------
Your choices:
I use 1 lb of 85% hamburger, just because I like the price of it..
You certainlly can use a leaner style, less or more meat.
2-4 chopped onions. The more the better for us.
Garlic powder or your choice of the amount of fessh garlic cloves...
2-4 cans drained mushrooms... You can leave these out...
1/4 can beer or beef broth/water. Or cold coffee works great also..
I personally save the juices from the mushrooms and add to all this for the start cooking.
--------
Bake in oven, hot 420, breaking up hamburger and mixing veggies.
When meat is browned and liquids reduced abit,; about 30 minutes or so....
Add one thawed bag of green beans or any veggie you'd like.
----------------
Return to oven to heat through.
--------------------
Cook you choice of amount of egg noodles, either store bought or homemade.
Just until they are heated through.
Drain.
---------
It is your choice to drain the meat slop.. Tee hee. Mixture..
I seldom do. Unless I have alot of grease.
------
Add to roaster with meat, and veggie.
2 cans cream of mushroom soup.
1, your choice size can of sauerkraut, I use a bigger one as we like sauerkraut, undrained.
I usually add the kraut to the meat... But, it's your choice ..
You can use only 1 can of soup if you'd likke, but this isn't your non-fat meal of the week.. SO.. WHY NOT EAT IT???
A splash of milk or more beer/coffee/broth/or water..
This again is your choice.
--------
Mix this evil brew well, and return to oven at 350.
Bake for about 1 hour or so..
Your choice, covered or not.
Uncovered will creat a nice crispy crust on top, uncovered is the really good sloppy stuff we all love as hotdish.
---------------------
Serve with dill or sweet pickles, fresh bread..
Plenty of butter..
I mean who cares..
This is HOTDISH..
------------------
Enjoy.
Goodness, be still my thighs!!!
You asked..
Tee hee.
Dianne.

You Know honey,
We don't have this hotdish very often...
And, the small roaster I used for that hotdish made 2 more meals with extra veggies added and finallly as the side dish for the veggie, cold cut-up neato stuff salad...
Just a dollopa on the plate...
-----------------------
The sauerkraut bakes down as the veggie get to know everything else...
----------------
I think we have this hotdish maybe twice a year.....
I mean that.
I seldom make this style of kraut.
I use kraut in alot of my baking, but not like this..
Oh my goodness......
------------------
You do know you can eat a salad and have just that 1/2 cup of serving size for any style hotdish... IF YOU CAN DO IT...
Add fresh fruits and this and that on a bigger plate, bigger bowl, then use the smallest plate you have for the hotdish and you'll be thankful.
That's what I do..
------------------
I'm 5'6 and still at 165 pounds,
Glen is 6'2 and still at 195 pounds.
We eat hotdishes, just not the ENTIRE MEAL AS HOTDISH!
---------------------
We always enjoy a decaf coffee or tea while we enjoy our 1piece of dark rich chocolate as dessert..
Or share a small and I mean, small bowl of ice cream or whatever..
The fruit is part of the meal.
----------------------
The treats are after we've cleaned the table up and are sitting quietlly together, either outside or in the house.
--------
Our TV is seldom on...
This is really an easy recipe to mix and match to your liking.
--------
Yes, goodness..
Be stillmy thighs..
Yet, every now and again..
OIH YUMMMMMMMMMY!!!
Dianne.
