Seafood, Shrimp Bake (Easy)

  • 1-1/2 pounds peeled and deveined shrimp or fish fillets cut into 1-1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup Crisco® Oil
  • 1 tablespoon jarred minced garlic (or 2 large garlic cloves, peeled and minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges (optional)
  1. Heat oven to 475ºF. Pat shrimp dry. Pour Crisco® Oil into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch ovenproof baking dish.
  2. Add shrimp. Toss with garlic, salt and pepper. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and parsley; toss to mix. Bake for 5 minutes.
  3. Turn gently and bake 3 to 5 minutes more, or until pink and bread crumbs are brown and crisp. Serve immediately, with lemon wedges, if desired.
  4. For a light, tasty entrée, serve shrimp or fish over your favorite pasta. Toss with fresh tomatoes, garlic and a dash of Crisco® Oil.
