HI ALL,
I know I have been absent most of this week.
My headache was ishy.
Yet, I still had to get tons of stuff done...
I NEVER GET HEADACHES.. I MEAN NEVER.. Hmm, Could I need more sleep??????? 20 years ago.... I could do a 24 hour day on 4 hours of sleep.. Even a 48 hour day on 6 hours of sleep if I had to.. WHAT HAPPENED??? I am certain those 24 hours have gotten shorter...
School will be finishing up next week. These kids have already taken their final's.. This class is a go for TWO CLASSES next year. Hey, the teacher got an A+ !!!!! I've been busy getting the students who wish to earn extra credits during the summer month's together. Otherwise, I do the class myself.. It will be nice to get a chance to do this with the church youth.. They are suppose to help out during the summer month's. What a BLESSING for these teenager's.. They will think this is a waste of their time and walk away feeling more blessed than they ever thought they could.. They will earn class credit's also....
This week and next are the rest of the College testing for final's. I have invited both semester's in for a classroom tomorrow, Friday. A get to know each other. We are allowed two hours for testing. This time will be simple .. It's just us the teacher and the student's telling the teacher what they think.. They seem to have enjoyed MY teacher's time.. Yet, I have heard.. "THEY ARE NO YOU!!!!!!". Give me idea's how to make this course better, and what you feel I should change.. THEY HAVE THE FLOOR...
They will enjoy watching the TEACHER TAKING NOTES!!!!!!!!!
I am also getting times set up with 6 more Nursing Homes and Assitted Living places in our area for this service. I need to have everything planned out BEFORE JULY 1ST!! This is still an elective class.. This is easy to set up.. I have had a waiting list all year.. This will become a morning and afternoon class.
10:00am and 3:00pm. WHAT A BLESSING FOR ALL THESE WONDERFUL PEOPLE.
Everyone involved with this trial year have been greatly hugged. I mean that. My students might have thought this was a NO BRAINER class credit when they started.. NOW, THEY ARE HUGGING ALL THE ELDERLY PEOPLE. They come for visits when they can and have LEARNED MORE THAN I COULD HAVE EVER TAUGHT SIMPLY BY BEING THERE AND DOING THIS...... Planning out the chapel message.. I have listened to the change of heart these young people have LEARNED from the elderly. THE CHANGE IN VOICE TONE.. Watched the change in TOUCH.. They all walk away from their final class HUGGING INSTEAD OF SIMPLY PUSHING PEOPLE AROUND. TEARS EVERYWHERE...
It's been a blessing for my life to watch these young people relate to these older people. How the young have leaned the old were once young... JUST LIKE THEM...
I am secure in my choice of calls. I will help with the Women's Ministeries when I have time.
Teaching Chapel is my calling for now.
I will be busier than ever next year, yet.. I WILL FEEL A GREAT PEACE.
Imagine me.. Dianne.. Someone this school will call Professor GAUB next year... I'll make sure my student's know my first name.. THIS IS WHAT THIS COURSE IS ALL ABOUT... I was just getting use to MRS. GAUB......
I do have alot of music teaching stuff.... Many pieces of paper that say I can teach music..Voice, Piano, Organ, Church organ. Alto sax... I did not finish the course at this school. I was in my 2nd year when I married my first husband. I did do several summer school workshops to finish the music course. This is amazing .. ME.. SIMPLE DIANNE
