This is really scary that you can do this, especially if you have kids or live alone.

I only sent this so that you are educated and can determine for yourself if you want your information made available in this way.

Google has implemented a new feature wherein you can type someone's phone number into the search bar, hit enter and a map to their house appears on your screen. Think about it--if a child gives out his/her phone number, someone can actually look it up to find out where your child lives.

Follow the email to remove yourself from their phone book and map detail program, and forward to everyone if you feel so inclined.

Mapquest will actually put a star marking the location of your house.  In order to test whether your phone number is mapped, go to
www.google.com and type your phone number in the search bar with the dashes (e.g..310-XXX-XXXX) and hit enter.

NOTE: If your phone number is not publicly listed, you should be fine.

If you want to BLOCK Google from divulging your private information, simply click on the telephone icon next to your phone. You will see a link where you are allowed to REMOVE yourself.
