Basic Lotion Making Directions

Weigh out and combine all ingredients except your germaben II and fragrance oils. Heat your oils in an 87 oz bucket in your microwave until all oils are liquefied. Stir with a stick blender(listed under soapmaking/ equipment section of online catalog)until you have reached a complete emulsion. Add your germaben II and fragrance oils (any of the F.O's can be substituted for another F.O of your choice) and stir again, then pour into your containers.

Periodically shake containers over the next 45 min while lotion or cream stiffens.


3. Shea Butter Lotion
  0.3 grams citric acid
  1 grams glycerin
  1.3 grams stearic acid
  16 grams Shea Butter
  4.4 grams emulsifying wax
  103 grams distilled water
  0.7 grams germaben II
  0.6 grams lime essential oil
  0.4 grams ginger fragrance Oil
This recipe makes 4 fl oz.
Follow your basic lotion making instructions.

4. Orange Blossom Lotion
  1.25 grams citric acid
  7 grams glycerin
  10 grams stearic acid
  20 grams emulsifying wax
  40 grams sunflower Oil
  35 grams Grape Seed Oil
  2.5 grams Cocoa Butter
  378 grams distilled water
  3.75 grams germaben II
  2 grams orange essential Oil
This recipe makes 16 fl oz.
Follow your basic lotion making instructions.

5. Peppermint Foot/ Body Creme
  20 grams Shea Butter
  21 grams hemp seed Oil
  9 grams Cocoa Butter
  10 grams stearic acid
  7 grams glycerin
  14 grams emulsifying wax
  0.6 grams citric acid
  150 grams distilled water
  2.5 grams germaben II
  1.3 grams peppermint essential Oil
This recipe will fill two of our 4 oz. cosmetics jars (8 oz.)
Follow your basic lotion making instructions.

6. Castor and Natural Vitamin E Oil Creme
  36.4 grams Apricot Kernel Oil
  33.2 grams castor Oil
  2.4 grams natural vitamin E oil (add this in at the same time you add your germaben II and F.O)
  24 grams emulsifying wax
  19.2 grams stearic acid
  14 grams glycerin
  4.8 grams citric acid
  346 grams distilled water
  1.44 grams germaben II
  2.5 grams of your favorite fragrance Oil
This recipe will fill four of our 4 oz. dome cosmetics jars (16 fl oz.)
Follow your basic lotion making instructions.

7. Lap of Luxury Lotion Bar
  1 oz wt. cosmetic grade beeswax
  .6 oz wt. sal butter (you can substitute with kokum, shea, or mango butter)
  .7 oz wt. macadamia nut oil
  .3 oz wt. Avocado Oil
  4 grams of your favorite fragrance Oil
Heat your solids (beeswax & butters) until they are a liquid state. Add in the rest of
your ingredients and stir thoroughly. Pour lotion bar mixture into molds or containers of choice and wait for them to solidify.
***Recipe yields approximately 2.5 oz wt
