Headline: Note From the Manager:

Story:

I'm a 68 year-old retired nurse, living alone, so I have the time to work on this project, although I do volunteer in my son's business every day and manage my High School Class web site as well.  Visit us there and enjoy a collection of some of the best humor found on the Internet NewtonNJHighSchoolClassof52  Even though I don't have a family to cook for any more, I still like to eat.  That's why I've been on this crusade to find good, no-fuss meals.  I also sympathize with the busy Moms out there who have to get a meal on the table even when they've been working outside the home all day.  There's a wealth of stuff on the Internet for us, but somebody has to have the time to surf and collect it all.  That's what I have been trying to do.  I also have literally thousands and thousands of recipes I've collected over my lifetime to pick over.  I hope some of my efforts will be helpful.  Let me know what you need.  I'll get to work for you....Sincerely, McClug ([email protected])

Headline: Marked for Deletion

Story:

This site was marked for deletion today by MSN even though recipes have been added on a continuing basis since the beginning.  I don't knowwhat else I can do except keep adding them.  I hope this will enable the site to keep going.  It is active and has always been so, even though there have been no new members signing up.  McClug (Manager)

A little dance will now be done in your honor:

(You have to imagine the music. I think it's Hail, Hail, The Gang's All Here.)

PS:  Since this site is so obscure and totally unknown to the whole world, I hope you don't mind my asking how you found it.

Headline: Desparate

Story:

Hi all.  Just found you today.  I am a married, working mother and I am not a very good cook and have absolutely no imagination.  I am hoping to find some easy, good tasting, quick recipes that I can make during the week that will fill everybody up.  I'm gone from the house 12 1/2 hours a day so I don't have a lot of time for those traditional cookbook type of recipes that say preparation time is 20 minutes and in reality it takes 2 hours!

Headline: New Member

Story:

Hi, everyone.  My name is Debbie, and I am from Mass.  I actually am not a non-cook, but I'm almost always too busy.  Plus, like many cooks, I hate the clean-up part!!  One-pot meals, slow-cooker meals, foil meals for the oven....I want 'em.  I also want dishes that use meat as a flavoring or a garnish......we are not vegetarians, just cheap.  (as in 'fixed income')  After cooking for so many years, (never mind how many!)  I'm starting to bore myself!!  Hope to hear from someone.

Headline: You aren't seeing double! It's really me!

Story:

My name is now 2Busy2Cook4U and my e-mail is:  [email protected].  I have been a member of this site since Jan. 1st, but due to the fact that I didn't know what I was doing when I set up my computer, I ended up with three e-mail accounts.  I am trying to delete them except for this one.  I am still interested in one-pot types of meals.  And also in chatting with our feisty manager, Mcclug!

Headline: hi all

Story:

My name is Aiele, and I am a high school teacher with three.....yes three....teenage boys.  Needless to say even if I wanted to cook I don't have much time, as teaching is a 24/7 job....and my principal believes school comes before family.....or so it seems since she tends to call on the  spur of the momment meetings frequently.  So I need help in finding good and quick recipes to feed the bottomless pits my sons have become. Thanks for letting me join.

Headline: Love this site!!

Story:

Hello, my name is Danielle (but, you can call me Dani!)  I'm from Michigan and I just joined this Community on the Labor Day weekend.  I was surfing the Net for a particular basting sauce for babyback ribs, and I happened upon this site by accident - McClug was so helpful, and quick to respond, I couldn't believe it!

I'm married, with a sixteen year-old daughter, and I actually love to cook (but, only in the winter months - I hate cooking in the summer, when it's hot and there's so many other things I'd rather be doing!)    Therefore, I'm interested in summer-type meals (barbecues, chicken and fruit salads, crockpot ideas, etc), that have a minimum in fuss, but a maximum in taste.  I look forward to getting to know everyone in here, and sharing and swapping recipes with each other.
