Hello Everyone: I love fast & easy and no-fuss recipes so I think I have died and gone to heaven now that I have found this site. I live in Toronto Canada with hubby, 2 teenagers (!!) and two cats. I collect cookbooks and recipes, I just don't like to cook all that much - go figure! Hello, The idea of being a non-cook is so funny!  We are all cooks at one time or another.  Maybe not good ones, but cooks non-the-less!  I try not order out a lot these days, as I love to cook - there just seems to not be a enough time to cook the great meals we all enjoy and wish we could have on a regular basis.  I take care of my fiance who had a brain aneurysm in 1997 and I work online.  I have several online shops but the main one is EileensEshop.com.  I hope I don't get in trouble for encluding that!  I have wanted to add recipes to my site for some time as I have a ton of them to share.  When my daugher was growing up I took every cooking class around where they would allow her to come with me.  I wanted her to know her way around a kitchen, and she certainly does.  The problem is, she has a sweet 4 year old and one on the way now too.  She does not cook much, her adoring husband has a good job and takes her to dinner most of the time.  Lucky girl!  Of course, she does go to college and most of the year works part time, so she does have her hands full.  But, you know what?  Everybody does.  Do you know anyone who has time to spare?  There simply is no such thing.  Spare time in this day and age is a non-thing. Completely unheard of.  Time and food.  Making time to prepare a meal is something I do everyday.  Well, I have to.  Russ has to have good well rounded meals 3 times a day.  He takes a lot of medications and needs food with all of them. So, I make time to cook.  I love it too.  When I can and it is appropriate, I order pizza and salad or oriental food.  But not as often as I would like too!  lol  We love hamburgers from a couple of the local restaurants but do not get that often either.  My kitchen is so full of cookbooks, notebooks and recipe cards it is embarrassing.  My daughter and daughter-in-law are amazed at all the things I know how to cook.  I think it is time to start giving away the cookbooks as I do not have room for more new ones and I do still buy them.  Isn't that silly?  lol  I am a real sucker for a new cookbook.  If I open one up and see even a deviation on a recipe I think I have to have it.  No kidding.  I am the queen of clutter when it comes to cookbooks!  I read them like they were novels. Hello,my name is kicken2 and  my mother and I live together .I am 42and in ill health and my mother is iddled with arthritis in her back,soyou can see why cooking a meal can be a hassle.And TV dinners don't cut it.I need to stick with a healthy diet full of calcium and low on carbs.I have RA(rheumatoid arthritis).Spend alot of time in bed.So i really am hopng this site can offer some quick,painless recipes. kicken2

Just found this site today, and glad to know that there are other people out there who hate to clean up aftercooking!!! Life is too short, lets get to the fun stuff!!! Yes, its true, I am not one of those leave it to Beaver housewives who runs around the house , cooking and cleaning in nylons, and a dress!!! But would still like to give the allusion of keeping my husband fed!!! ...lol... looking forward to the site!!!

Hi my name is Brenda...tho I'm called Bren. I'm 39 years old,married live in the Missouri Ozarks. I love to cook and garden.I used to homestead and cooked and canned 'everything'.Though recently I haven't been well...I have Systemic Lupous which is a serious immune system disorder which has aged me physically by like 30 - 40 years so my stamina is WAY down there...I need easy recipes.Sorry for 'lurking' so long but I wasn't 'sure' -I have been reading your mail and have decided you are the nicest group I've met on line. I need help understanding how this whole postiing/messages thiing works though.

Hi there everyone!  As you can see I have a big family with 7 children and 14 grandchildren and any help in the kitchen is a plus.  I haven't been here long and this is actually the first time I have been able to sit down and tell you a little about myself. 

 

I also enjoy sewing, quilting and outdoors activities, lately though I have been at my machine sewing, and my rack quilting.  Had a wedding to prepare for and gifts to make, finally thru and wanted to introduce myself.

 

I am from Louisiana, age 46, be 47 on the 11th of this month, next week to be exact, married, of course, and a house full of family as I have already told you about.

 

Am looking forward to going thru the site now and getting involved in some of the activities, so hope to talk with you all soon.  Glad to be here.

Hi, im a 27yr old Female from Canada, I love to cook and I dont mind cleaning my kitchen.  Its just that I hate finding recipes with ingredients that i've never heard of.  And then having to run all over town trying to find them.  I like quick and simple.
