Oh absolutely! Loved your cartoon! I subscribe to the Nation, love Calvin Trillin's poetry. And you?

Actually, SeaSlug, I posted that cartoon and the title line with "tongue in cheek", because we usually do not discuss politics in this group.

I get "Non Sequitor" every day on my home page, and sometimes it is right on.

Otherwise, I'm not a very political person.  I like nearly anything George Carlin says.

I'm a New Mexico native, have lived in Florida (23 years), Texas (4 years), New Mexico (the first 19 years of my life, and another 8 years  (88-96). I've been in Oklahoma, where I moved in 1996 to help care for my 90 y.o. Mother, now deceased, since that time.  I was a Social Worker for several years, am now semi-retired and I am the Local Librarian, 20 hrs/wk.

I consider myself a liberal Democrat (bleeding heart).

Springbaby2, you must be very happy to not be coping with hurricanes!  If I lived there, I would move.

I'm a liberal Democrat too. We are all bleeding hearts, I hope. I  pay a great deal of attention and have read book after book as they are emerging, by conservative Republicans. I am surprized at how little influence they have. Well, maybe that is the nature of the membership, they do not read!

"Non Sequitor" is good. Like Boondocks, and "For Better or Worse", too. I teach art to a 9 year old who wants to be a cartoonist. She is pretty good.

Spring, I don't like to discuss politics in our group.
I am a Democrat and hate the emails I've been getting
from some people showing ugly made up photo's.
Wish the Democrats would stop calling our house asking
for money. lol
