Stop in and say, Hello.  Tell us how you are and what is going on in your life.  Or just comment on anything you wish.  Make this a daily entry.

I finally got "the call" at 11:45 am.  She was ready to leave Toronto.  She will call me every few hours to let me know all is well and where she is.
It's going to be an eternity till tomorrow evening (probably very late evening)  She is NOT a morning person so will start late again tomorrow.
Have a great Sunday    SS

SS...so glad that she's on her way home!!  Until our children have children of their own, they have no idea how much we worry about them...no matter how old they get! Let us know, we'll be thinking of you both.

That's good, SS.  Keep us posted.  I gather she's driving.  That's a long haul but I'm sure she'll be just fine.

My travelling daughter is well on her way.  She phoned at 8:45 and had just stopped for the night.
She is less than an hour from the NB border.  Should be home early  tomorrow evening.  Yes, Kee, she is driving with everything she owns packed in the car.

OK people ....she is in New Brunswick now.  She called at 8:30 and said she was nearing the border.  It's a long haul from NW NB to SE NB where she gets the bridge to PEI.  She's never driven on that bridge before so that will be an experience for her .  This is the bridge, PEI is at the bottom of the picture.  She said she'd be home before dark.  I told her to call when she gets off the bridge and I'll put the pizza in the oven.

I know that you'll only feel complete relief when you can give her a great
big hug!!

Another call....she was nearing the end of the bridge and I expect her home in about 20 minutes.  Yes, Allie.. a big hug is coming up very soon.
This bridge is 9 + miles long.  What's the one in Key west?  This is the longest bridge in the world over water that freezes.

I was close to it when my Granddaughter and I were in Florida, but did not cross it. I've heard it's 22 miles long, but a new one has gone up, from what I hear, that's just under 7 miles, must go from an Island closser.

Hugs to you and your daughter!!

Yes she is home and we had dinner and she has gone walking over to her sister's home a couple blocks away.  After i talked to her on the bridge she got another call from the local community college and she is to start a course on Monday, then I gave her a letter that arrived for her today and it contained a cheque for an overpayment on her insurance.
It's funny but when we talked on the phone she said she could see a rainbow over our house and asked if I was hiding the pot of gold.  Now she thinks she found it.

What an awesome picture of the bridge.  I remember when they opened it.  Also saw a documentary on the engineering and how they installed it.  Still not sure why it has that curve in it.  Do you know?

I looked this up for you Kee...........I never questioned the curves, just thought they were graceful.

At 12.9 kilometres (8 miles), the Confederation Bridge is world’s longest bridge over ice-covered water. It has won dozens of international engineering awards since its construction, and was designed to last for a century.

Engineers designed the bridge with graceful curves to ensure drivers remain attentive, and to reduce the potential for accidents that experts believe happen more often on straight highways or bridges. The highest curve at the Navigation Span reaches 60 metres above water, allowing large sea vessels, including some cruise ships, to navigate under the bridge between its piers, which stand 250 metres apart.
