I just took a look at the "Multiply" site...not sure if that's what we want....
Everyone else please look around for a site for our group. Take a look and see what you think. This group will NOT go away. We will find a place for us.
No resigning......I love you all, and want us all to stay together, and we have been together for a long time, jokay, remember when we had to get out of the old board and we all survived it.
SUGGESTIONS from anyone...are you on another message board site other than MSN? Let us know.

Ellen
yahoo has them also. The format is not as attractive, but I would rather struggle to learn a new format than lose touch with all of you great folks.

Maybe you start a tem ohe there just to get all of us rounded up and get all our emails too.

Eln, I was thinking about that catastrophe today.  I remember how sad I was to see the break up of our old group.  We survived, thank goodness but this is a different story.  There is no other format like the one we have now.  I don't like Blogs - where people go on and on about themselves and never interact with the games such as we have now.

I am a game player.  It's what I like to do.  I suppose I'll have to content myself with crosswords and Scrabble - which I like but they are solitary events.

There are a lot of online games to play but I enjoy the interaction with our members/friends

60s does not matter how many members the others have. If MSN does not give us another dock for our group we will have to find another home. So far Yahoo is the only one I have found that is somewhat similar to MSN. The way people join is the same as with MSN, so our group can continue to be controlled by Ellen and jokay. They can keep things the way they want them and only allow who they wish to join. They will not be forced to that hundreds of people. It would be the same as now. The only thing I am not familiar with their format. Looks confusing, but then everything confuses me these days. I just applied to join one. will let everyone know what I find.

Let us not panic and think for one miinute that we cannot stay together. WE CAN AND WE WILL!!!!

Jokay, I didn't think it was sad at all when our old group broke up..  Why were you sad??
All the heavy porn and smut we were getting hit with was awful and we had no way to contol it at all
because the original manager of the group ran off without appointing someone to replace him/her.

I was so happy to get out of there and so tired of fighting the porn and smut, writing all those letters to MSN
and finally one by one the spamers got kicked off the internet. And so happy when Eln took the matter into her
own hands and started our new group here.  All of our members from old group came here with us and we are all
together and much better off.  The couple members that dropped along the wayside would be gone by now anyway.

As is said, " Everything happens for the best." and hopefully so will that be the case here.. Nothing is
forever and the only thing for sure is Death and Taxes.        (  Sorry, off the subject !!  hehe  )

Enough from me.

Thank you nowonder......and Beth....we are staying together, I'll do my best.
I can't take the all the credit, for the set up of this group. Someone else started it for me, and I took the job of manager......that person never joined this group, by the way.
Not a big fav. of some. And you are right, some who were here waaaay back then were feisty, and rude and left of their own accord. Some were bored, and may God Bless the ones that have passed.....Yvonne, Honey, Grey.....you have been missed.

Nowonder:  I was sad when "that person" came in and said terrible things about us in her group.  I'll never forget it!  I still know who she is and her group.

Everything else was fine - getting rid of the porn and having a real live Manager.  It was the hurt feelings that got to me and we did lose a very good person as a result of that.  Someone she insulted in a very cruel way - all on her own site.

Wonder if we are in the process of getting moved.  The threads  have slowed down to a crawl.  ??

Any one else notice?

In answer to all questions...."I don't know". Kind of excited to get started on the new site. Hope they didn't bite off more than they can chew. LOL

Yes NW I noticed how little was posted while I was gone. I hope no one is giving up on our group and feeling there is just no point. As Ellen has said, MORE THAN ONCE, we will stay together no matter what. So cheer up everyone. Remember the old adage: When a door closes, a window opens. Who knows, we may grow to like the new site even better than MSN. Remember how awful getting postings up has been on MSN this year?

I remember we put up with that for about three weeks...the new site has to be better!! You're right, everything happens for a reason...we'll all hope that this is for the best.
